I was planning on doing that, but now I'm leaning more towards XP, since it's not as RAM intensive as Vista... I dunno...

XP is deff leaner and prolly more stable, it takes up far less room for one thing....

I just happened to have a copy of Vista to hand, and i had to have some form of windows on my mac in order to sync my.............

Wait for it...........

Zune 120.... *Ducks*

Don't bother with XP or Vista. Windows 7 beta is better than both and is rock solid and stable. Tomorrow (Jan 9th) Microsoft is letting the public download it for free and giving out free activation codes to the first 2.5 million people. Google search for details.

OOOH !!

Might give that a try how bigs the download tho ?

Wonder if one of you can help me with a Vista problem. I installed Vista SP1 in Boot Camp and I installed the drivers on the Leopard DVD. For some reason, Vista see my graphics as a 1.0 in the Windows Experience thing, and everything else as 5.3/5.9. The drivers are installed but it never sees it! When I re-take the tests it never gives it a score. I tried installing new drivers from nvidia.com but they keep saying I have no compatible hardware.:confused:

When i installed Vista i used the Leopard install dvd for my driver install, but that dident work propperly so i used the applications install dvd that came with my new MB and all was well after that..........it upgraded bootcamp to 2.1 as well....

I agree, Windows 7 will be much better than Vista, and a little better than XP, but I won't beta test it for the dark side, you folks can report back to me. :p

I've seen good reports about Windows 7. I might just go with that..

New Mac

I bought my macbook on the 25th of October, but I just recently saw this forum. It is my first mac, and I love it, I cannot believe I used Windows for so long, but maybe it was just not the right time.

Lucky for me, I waited just long enough to get this beautiful aluminum work of art. I bought the cheaper 13.3" version, but I recently upgraded the ram (to 4gb) and the HDD (to 320gb). It was great before, but it is even better now.

I am looking for some Apps to add, and wondered if anybody had some recommended "must haves"?

The one app I would hate to live without it is 1Password. It makes browsing faster and safer. Check it out.

Yahoo! It's Monday night!!!!!

Right on!! Monday night has just become my favorite night of the week!!! :D

Just for grins because we are such dorks, we've been getting ready for the new season by watching all old seasons... we just finished Season 4 last night. I have a friend visiting that had never watched 24 before... of course, she's hooked now.

Saw this book at our local Family Christian bookstore, "Jack Bauer's having a bad day", great title.

Just got my macbook this morning. I've lusted after the powerbooks for years but was forced to use a gateway by my school. Well gateway went out of business and the warranty is worthless and the gateway broke and now they had to let me buy whatever I want! It feels good to be back on a mac. And I'm sortof happy that I was forced to wait for the recent refresh. I originally would have bought a 12" powerbook so I went with the 13" macbook since portability is the main issue for me. I'm hooking it up to a 24" LG LCD at home :D

hey, i was wondering if someone here could help me before i call into the apple store.

i bought the new aluminum macbook about a week ago and recently, when i plug in the charger, the little light on the cord turns a VERY faded green (barely see-able). When i keep it plugged in while it sleeps, it barely charges 10 % over like 5 hours. and it barely keeps the charge it has when i'm using it while its plugged in.

anyone know whats going on??

definitely a problem with SOMETHING.. just call them or take it into the store. could be many things.. the magsafe, the battery, the charging port, the logic board...
