New MBP.
I love this JR dude, whoever he is.

I've heard talk of one trackpad button and two trackpad buttons. But does this picture show no trackpad button?

The top end of the keyboard has bright light shining on it... and the bottom end has a shadow cast on it... if u study the shadows closely there is a "possibility" that this is a fake! Plus the hugely blurred MBP logo on the bezel is a little wavy... how does motion blur wave things? I know i am on macRUMORS and i am speculating too much but let me enjoy doing it while it lasts (i.e. T minus 14hrs ;))

No power button.. they took forgot to 'shop one in (like, WTF would you do if that machine crashed... pull the battery out?).

Not to mention it's as ugly as hell. Looks like a cheap acer or something... black keyboard on a silver laptop? Apple have more sense than that.

haha you're right, Apple would never put a black keyboard on a silver laptop...... oh wait...

Really, have you ever seen a macbook air? It has black keys on a silver laptop.

Not a big thing, since everysaid what i said...but i think it is real

Look at the front side and the top, it is one piece!!!!:p:p:p

The 899 model will be the low end whitebook but updated.
The 1299 will be 2.4 ghz but the aluminum case makes up for the 400$ price differential

my guess

i would like to state for the record that i predict the song in the new macbook commercial will be "(Get off Your) High Horse Lady" by Oasis. i just have a strong gut feeling.

Maybe Apple is integrating the "tap" feature permanently? Eliminating all buttons(with the exception of the keyboard) what-so-ever? Maybe a touch sensitive power button like on the Cinema Displays?

Wouldn't it be nice if you could install your DVD of OSX 10.5 on any laptop that you could find.

The Head Control Freak Jobs won't allow that, of course - but wouldn't it be nice?

If I could, I would start today.

I've fed up with Apple's overemphasis on design and "thinness" at the cost of good specs and reasonable prices.

The only reason I'm still with Apple is I like their OS too much. If Apple would either release a machine that actually focused on a good specs for price ratio, I would be happy. As it is, I continue to be disappointed. I'm hoping EfiX will release something soon to make OS X easily work on a PC notebook. Seems to be far more likely than Apple releasing a notebook that doesn't focus on design over performance and specs time and time again.

exterior of the laptop, breaking

bottom of laptop looks consistent with recent case leaks, top looks tapered.

Founder and CEO....

It's not a fake pic, it's real. It's not the $899 model, that plastic glossy looking toy is the top of the line Maccrook "Pro" . That thing will cost you a min of $3,500 - $4000 with decent specs. It doesn't have a firewire port or Blu-Ray .

I wanted to buy a Mac just because my school uses them, but I think I'll go with a $500 Dell that actually has a firewire ports, dedicated graphics card, etc.

If that computer had the words "Acer" written on it you people would say it's an overpriced piece of junk. But since it says "Maccrook Pro" everyone is happy and willing to give them $4000. :D

Michael Dell everyone!!! Thanks for stopping by!!!

I hope its not a zone at the bottom to click on the touchpad - i rest my thumb on my MB's click button now. If it registers a tap as a click, I can rest my thumb there anymore. That'll get annoying real quick.

It seems that if MBs have integrated graphics, there is even less reason to pony up big dough on a MBP. Slightly larger HDD, larger screen...is that worth an extra grand? Something is missing.
