That must be why you can't plug your mouse into the keyboard port.

There's no power for the mouse electronics. Especially the optical mice with the red LED.

Well, the keyboard ports are powered, but they're lower power than the other USB ports. A mouse will work, but the keyboard in fact won't charge a shuffle, and won't run some other peripherals that require USB power. They're not useless, but they're definitely less useful than the other USB ports.

Apple works on pacific time in which case it has now only just passed 8.30
Stop trying to fill people's heads with hope...

There have been only a couple occurances where Apple has taken the store down at 12 Noon EST to update product, and that was like 3 years ago.

All the recent updates have been between 8:30am and 9:30am EST.

Face it folks.... we got dumped on today and it's all because of the rumor mills and people getting overly excited. I can't get one until at least May 27th and more importantly, I can't get one until they come out.

'nuff said.

Apple dont really have a mac between the powermacs and imacs. MAy sound stupid but there is a big gap between mini and imacs and imacs and powermacs.

At this point, apple doesn't even have an intel tower. It seems silly to me to complain about gaps in the product line before the updated product line is even announced.

I wouldn't be surprised if they add a mini tower with video card in a slot with an extra internal HD bay and plenty of ram slots. Great for gamers and people who want a little flexibility and upgradability but don't need a ton of pci slots. Wouldn't affect imac sales at all, it's a totally different box. Obviously it would take some sales from potential tower or mini buyers.

Not in california, out there it's only 9:30. But no, not going to happen today.

Apple's not going to relase any new MacBook this week for two reasons.
First off the decision of a judge in Britain is coming sometime this week that could have a bearing on the MacBook..
Secondly Apple is holding it's Q2 meeting tomorrow. In that meeting it will have forward looking projections. These projections will reflect any settlement Apple and Apple Corp. may have made last week.If this is the case Apple will want to wait until any deals are finalized before putting out the MacBook, new Beatles flavor iPod and Beatles iTunes promos.

This week-end the NAB show is held.Apple will be showing it's Pro Apps and maybe.."One More Thing"..

just an opinion mind you :)

Silly People

the NEW iBook probably will NOT be called MacBook....it will be the iMac book....macrumor confirms this as it has "iBook" in it, and it will certainly contain the word "MAC" on it....

:)

Your not serious are you? And don't you think your username is a little offensive?

The MacBooks will be released on exactly the day they are released. They will have exactly the hard drive size they will have, exactly the amount of ram they will have, and the precise amount of Vram they will have will be equal to the amount of Vram they will have. The CPU will also be exactly what it will be, and it will come in exactly the colors it will come in.

That's my additude. I'm so sick of speculation. I hope you guys are aware of the fact that typing up **** like:

Core Duo 1.66Ghz
60GB Hard drive
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400
etc

is just to get yourself excited. There is no point to writing up **** like that unless you wanna get yourself excited, and what's the point of that? The MacBook will be what it will be, and released when it will be released. (See above).

It possibly might could've been about predictable, considering the fact that this is a forum thread called "Macbook anticipation" on macRUMORS.com... You're not sick of speculation, you're sick of being addicted to speculation and disappointed because you we're so sure it really would be this minute today. I guess it's nothing to be ashamed of, there's plenty of us with the same addiction. :) Embrace your weakness!

whoa whoa whoa. Hold up. I am not ashamed of anything. And I'm not dissapointed about anything. I don't have a weakness. I'm just saying that everything about the MacBook will be exactly what it will be.

And that you are _exactly_ right about. Also there will be rumors on macrumors.

LMAO - you must be lost -- I think you want the Apple Discussion Forum where no speculation on their future products is allowed. This is, after all, a RUMOR SITE.

Oh, and I won't mention that you've posted to said rumor site an average of 2.82 posts per day for the past 2-1/2 months. :D In some circles, that could be considered "hard core rumor fanatic." :)

Sorry, but a release of the MB has NOTHING to do with the ruling on the Apple x Apple case...really nothing at all...

Why not just think that the release date will be in October or November or something, so that when it does come out early we can act surprised.

The sad thing though, is it might not come out earlier than that.......
