once again, it's NOT MB.....it is "iMB"!!!!!!!!!!!😱
If ignorance is bliss, than
you must be the most blissful being in the universe.
That is
the stupidest name I have heard. And I'm not referring to "iMacBook/iMB"
🙄 either, although that is just as lame. I'm referring to your username of
ChinkCummSlut.
Also, if your earlier post was referring to MacOSRumors' naming claim, then you and your infinite wisdom missed the point there too: from MacOSRumors - "As with the iMac, the iBook will continue to be the moniker (for) Apple's entry/mid-level consumer laptop."
Did you get that?! iBook,
not iMacBook.
They are reporting that the iBook will retain that
exact name and
not use MacBook instead. In
no way do they indicate that the iBook will be re-named "iMacBook", again
the stupidest name I have heard.
The reason I and quite a few others feel MacOSRumors is wrong on their prediction is because SJ said himself that every Macintosh computer should have "Mac" in it, which makes complete sense. iBook does not have Mac in it, and in
no way does MacRumors claim anything other than that the iBook will continue to be named an "iBook", directly contradicting SJ's statement by not including "Mac" in the name.
MacOSRumors also says: "There is no "MacBook" any more than there is, or ever will be, a desktop model called simply the "Mac."
Obviously, they are referring to the fact that some people [including myself] are wondering if the iMac will lose the "i". From a marketing perspective it makes sense, even if the "iMac" is a well known name. The point is that, dropping the "i" is not going to "confuse" anyone, and will completely align the product naming, marketing, and packaging layout scheme.
Even if Apple does drop the "i" from iMac, lots of people who don't know, or even care, will still refer to them as iMacs anyway. There won't be
any lost sales do to this. Do you have any idea how much infuriates me when someone say's they're gonna "buy an Apple", or when they ask about "Apple's", when in both cases they mean Macs?! The point is that it is the
APPLE LOGO that people remember more than the name, just like it is the design and OS that differentiates Macs from pEEcEE's.
Case and point; When you see two golden arches combined to make an M, do you have to be
told that that is McDonalds?
Therefore the name change's benefits [consistent naming across all products lines like "MacWhatever", "MacWhatever Pro", or "MacPro Whatever"] for product naming, marketing, and packaging consistency,
far outweighs any non-sensical idea that dropping the "i" from the "iMac" (that will continue to be referred to as an iMac anyway) will cause anykind of "mass confusion".
🙄
On a much more serious (and ethical) note, and has been stated and requested by other MacRumors members:
MODS, PLEASE MODERATE BLATANTLY OFFENSIVE USERNAMES LIKE "ChinkCummSlut" 😡
