i think brick is an acronym for some words (like byokdm for the mini)
so post your acronyms of what you think it could be
heres an idea :
Beautiful, r..., indeed, cool, k...:D

i know it sucks, but...:D

ermmm here is my lIst. From the ones that need the upgrde to the ones who dont

1. Mac mini
2. Mac pro
3. Macbook
4. Macbook pro
5. imac
6. Macbook air

So if you take a look at the list. The mac mini needs the upgrade first folowed by the mac pro, then the two flagship laptops the imac and then macbook air last...

well you fail to take into account that im shopping for a mac laptop, therefore in my reality the laptops top that list;):p

In economics, BRICK often means Brasil-Russia-India-China-Korea and is used to refer to these emerging markets.
Maybe the BRICK keyword just means that Apple whishes to boost macbook sales in these coutries and does not refer to a special product at all ... just a guess !

Hm. This just in.
http://www.appleinsider.com/article...ng_to_launch_iphone_in_29_more_countries.html
"Apple is gearing up for its third and final phase of international iPhone expansion during the 2008 calendar year, which will include launches in Russia, Brazil and Egypt, but not China or Korea. "

Thats what I am saying why make a mock up of apples website with some new product on it then take a picture of it and post it with no explanation. Were they just trying to show a mock up of this Hub everyone is talking about?

What's the idea behind what?

Seriously, who takes a photograph of their computer screen to show you a 'so called revealing' on the Apple website when you can screen shot it?

Some people enjoy photoshopping and others have WAYYYYY too much time on their hands.

What's the idea behind what?

Clearly it's a box-y brick-y type of thing-y connected to a USB cable, and sitting next to a thin, thin laptop, with the words "Make the cables disappear" under it.

Unless it's not your computer that you are photographing.

I could see the "Brick" as being a sort of a revival of a PowerBook Duo dock. Unless you're a power user or you deal with graphics, most computers today are overpowered. Even your average MacBook is probably powerful enough to serve as a workstation.

So just hook it up to the Brick...

No one has heard anything from kevin...... no doubt that apples basement/dungeon is soundproofed.

srry, i meant no one has heard any more rumors from him, and (i honestly cannot remember where i saw it, srry:() but apparantly he has lost a few sources because apple was so pissed.

he is however still around, not locked in apples torture rooms, i just watched his video on what hed like in itunes 9 today (apparantly he wants to see a social networking kinda thing like facebook  )

this brick could just be a metaphor to what they are about to throw at Windows.

Notice how Windows have been cranking out the pc ads like crazy. Perhaps they got a sneak peak of whats to come and they are sh*tting bricks

Or maybe its just another disappointment like all the other keynotes so far have been

FYI, there is no country with the name "Kurdistan"

Hm, well... I thought these two words had the opposite meaning of what Wikipedia says, but if they're to believed, then I think Kurdistan is a nation but not a country. Check.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to when more people realize that geographic divisions don't work in a globally-connected world.

BRICK
THE THICKEST MAC EVER
:D:D:D
YAHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

no seriously, we NEED new laptops ok ;):apple:

I'm thinking the funny explanation is most likely. Why have a special code word thing for a battery? I doubt they have some battery revolutionary enough to warrant that. Not that the possibility isn't there.... I'm expecting Apple to have new ads soon that somehow laugh at the MS ads and turn them on MS, and I'm also expecting upgraded laptops. Nothing revolutionary, just price drop, thinner, more powerful, the usual.

This made me laugh:
