So i just installed a new SSD for my MacBook Pro 13, Mid-2009.
Formatted externally, booted up with 'Option', clicked on the drive, and all is well. However, it doesn't boot up as it should normally (apple logo after powering on, etc.) It seems i have to always do the 'Hold Option' thing and boot like that. Anybody know why this is?

    Thanks in advance.

Does it boot properly after the drive selection (Option boot screen)?

Check that the correct SSD volume is selected in System Preferences -> Startup Disk.

Yes. Everything boots properly and functions. It's just at start-up it is not booting without me having to hold option and manually selecting the drive.

re-set the startup disk in preferences, it's probably still looking for the old disks GUID at bootup.
