Thumbs up the future of our forum has been laid out perfectly...

There should be seperate forums like now, but people should also be able to post in the "Notebooks" Forum, for anything involving combinations of MBP, MB, MBA.

So it should go

Mac Forums > Apple Hardware > Notebooks
> Macbook
> Macbook Pro
> Macbook Air
--------------------------
Posts for general Apple notebooks here.

Or, when a picture is worth a thousand words, look below!

you hit the nail on the head...no joke, this is what should happen to the forums

CrackBookPro:cool:

woops, no idea this thread was so old...

I think now that the Macbook (white) is so different than the aluminum body macbook pros (13", 15", and 17"), they should be in separate forums. The macbook pros are now significantly different than the white macbook pro, and have different issues entirely.

Yeah and what about the vintage Macs like Mac Classic, LC, LC2, LC3, 128k???

I own a Mac Classic and a iMac G3, where are they LOL? And also what about OS9 on the software forum lol?

Each book should have its own forum. Regarding older books let's do it like Apple.

Sorry but out of date (vintage notebooks forum). I like the idea and it hopefully shouldn't be too stressful of getting that sorted.

A little late to the party...

I can't see enough of a difference between the mac notebooks to justify separate forums for each model. But that's just me...

Together. It should go like this:

MacBooks/Pro
PowerBook/iBook
Power Mac/Mac Pro

It would probably be a lot more convenient if both forums were combined. I sometimes click on the wrong link to open the MBP forum and click macbook instead...I think it's confusing to have the MBP coupled with Powerbook. IMHO, the better combination would be MBP/Macbook forum and a separate forum for Powerbook, since they're a little dated and the new macbooks more closely resemble the specs of the MBP's.

Where would the White MacBook Unibody fall....not a pro but has more in common with the "Pro" than the MacBook, same for early alu. Unibodies. O wait, the "Pro" means the owner is above.... now I see, sorry.

separate is always better, because the forum and posts overview is better
