I just got off the phone with customer support. The woman was as nice as possible, but she didn't seem to take my complaint seriously because my order is still in window to be shipped within the original 3-5 week estimate. She spoke to her supervisor several times and said they couldn't comment on other people's orders but that different configurations could ship out at different times.

I insisted that the people who received their computers ordered the same configuration as I did (2.7/16/768). I said I really wanted to escalate the issue to get it resolved, but she said all she could do was give me a case for free. So I talked her into a free MagSafe 2 converter and a MacBook Pro sleeve.

I guess I feel a little better. I suggest the rest of you 3-5 weekers do the same.

I would but there isnt an Apple store in my city and Best Buy doesn't match the edu discount. So I thought i would patiently wait. even though the closest city with an apple store is Louisville and that like 1.5 hours away lol.
 
this is driving me nuts... tomorrow is the 3rd already.

Last week when I called they gave me the external drive. At this point, I'm just looking for my computer!!! The lady was pretty annoyed with me today and told me the same thing you were told - that they can't look up other orders. I, too, insisted that others had received their units with the exact same specs but she didn't want to hear it. I asked her to escalate but I'm not sure that will help. Maybe I'll get lucky at a local store tomorrow. Need to figure out if I buy one and this one ships, can I return the one I bought online to the local store. Thinking positive that I can set up a new computer during my vacation. Returning to the local store used to be a major hassle. Not sure if it still is!

Really, It is shipped and sitting there....that blows. I didn't call and it came fed ex express.

Not sure if shipping can be changed now...but would call if you didn't get a tracking number.

I have an idea. Since the lady was so adamant that they could not comment on other people's orders, can anyone with 2.7/16/768 configuration that has shipped send me your order number? I think if I have a 2-3 weeker for comparison, they will take me more seriously that this is a problem and a ticket needs to be opened for research into this issue.

So would anyone with a shipped 2.7/16/768 be willing to share your order number? You can PM it to me if you don't want to post it.

My PC just showed me an awefull BSOD. It's 12 at night here so I should go to bed. Decided to reboot it to do some more stuff anyways. Checked my order status (because, well, you know ;) ) and I can't believe my eyes. It just went to Preparing :D

Orderd on 7/14, expected 7/16-7/20.


It's 6 in the morning in China now, those guys really make long days!
 
My shipment is in Alaska and received another "International shipment release - import" update about 15 minutes ago.

That is so strange. I ordered a very similar system on the 11th (2.6 instead) and I already have mine.

I wonder if the delay is because of the 2.7

I can believe it. Another on the boards ordered on the 23rd, and his shipped over the weekend -- and I've seen the order page live, so there's no chance of Photoshoppage. There are just some orders that seem to be slipping through the cracks and shipping super early.

I'm a late order but I my specs are the same as everyone else's ultimate rMBP. I'm guessing it is?.. I paid with the rn citizens loan so I don't know when I will get charged.
But I'm in the same boat... Don't understand why it's taking so long. I paid with the loan so apple is refusing to send me anything.. But it's bull how you guys ordered way before me.. But are in the same boat as me.


I'm still in processing as well.

Eta for my delivery is the 17th.
 
YES FINALLY IT IS PREPARING FOR SHIPMENT!!!i can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

my specs are 2.6/ 16 /768. ordered on the 12th, night. Saw that my credit card was charged 2-3 days ago I believe. I think having your credit card charged, might be a sign of pending shipment. I CANT WAIT!!! :D:D
