Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

I seriously need to stop refreshing my Order Status, or the Google Docs spreadsheet. It's becoming an obsession - a horrible, heartbreaking obsession.
Is it worthwhile calling Apple to change to Expedited Delivery? It didn't seem to be an option when I ordered, but I'd gladly pay the extra. Noticing a lot of you have done so, and have even been offered things for free.
Delivery will be to the UK - ordered on 18th June, 2.3/8GB/256, still processing but 16-20 July Expected Delivery.

my specs are 2.6/ 16 /768. ordered on the 12th, night. Saw that my credit card was charged 2-3 days ago I believe. I think having your credit card charged, might be a sign of pending shipment. I CANT WAIT!!!

I definitely would. Even though my order has shipped way earlier than expected (ordered base model on the 23rd with expected delivery July 24-30) it really sucks to see it just sitting in Shanghai for no real reason.

Looks like me and you are in the same boat,only i ordered on the 13th and " still processing".Maybe ours will come on the same flight as my estimate was july 11-17th
Hey guys... correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like the current trend is that people are receiving their systems either a few days or the day before the earliest expected date that Apple gives (e.g. if Apple gave an estimated range of July 10 - July 17, it is likely that the laptop will arrive in the July 8-10 range). Has anybody received it past the earliest date? Or is anybody still waiting past the earliest date? I was given July 14 - July 21 (ordered on the 13th of June), and I am hoping to get it on the 14th or a few days earlier. Waiting until the 21st would be painful.

I think I will tomorrow. I don't understand how they work this out - you ordered yours way after mine, and yet yours has shipped but is just sitting doing nothing?! Not whining, obviously - if you get yours before me then that's amazing for you =) it just seems like there's no real pattern to this!
Sounds like it. We'll be able to track the flight when it finally does ship, and see if it's the same one at least. My nearest FedEx depot is a mile down the road from me too, so it'll be hell finding out it's so close!

So i ordered the new Retina 2.7, 768, 16GB on the day of the unveiling, was going to arrive on the 9th of July. I saw an eBay listing for the same exact model for $3.8 (no sales tax) so i jumped for it.
Now I cancelled my apple order, and my eBay order was supposed to arrive on saturday June 28th through USPS priority.
Now it's lost in the mail or mis-delivered. sold for parts for all i know.
Kicking myself in the ass. so depressed.
the seller purchased package insurance so I'm covered, but the claim to usps will take weeks and now i need to Re-order a new macbook, from god knows where. it's gonna take me at least a month to get 1 now.

Are you a woman? Ring up Apple and tell them your story. Try to sound cute and sad at the same time. Maybe add a little white lie, like you are going to Africa for some volunteer work in a week and a half and you would love to be able to bring your rMBP with you.
Are you a guy? Get your wife/GF/mother*/female friend to do it for you.

Ya it seems like it is somewhat random. There is another guy on here that is in the EXACT same situation as I am. I think it will probably leave China in about 11 hours as most flights depart around 8:00 PM local time in Shanghai (currently 9 AM there).
Fingers crossed it will then =) I'm still refreshing my Order Status page every hour or so, just in case. I should probably stop and go to bed.
For what its worth, my 'story' above was regarding a 3-5 week delayed shipping purchase. I waited to purchase the MBP-retina for a few days thinking that the supply and demand would not be as bad as say an iPad or an iPhone but wow was I wrong. Nevertheless, I hope you get yours soon! I can definitely relate to the headaches/stomachaches/side aches/trouble-sleeping/grumpy attitude in the morning knowing its NOT today your laptop will arrive/lack of productivity at work/staring at computer screen in the evenings hoping that your status would change from processing to "shipped" (but it doesn't).....type of feelings that one gets while waiting for their new Apple product!!! Wow! You really understand how I am feeling about this.
It finally arrived. My 2.7/16/768 is fast. It has taken me 4 hours to get everything set like I want it. Went from 91% battery at unboxing to 34% 4 hours later.
Now to start digging into this retina thing and see if it is as good as I had hoped. I just went and downloaded some retina-sized wallpaper to load.

Glad to see you're still here. I'm driving myself insane with checking the order page! I keep hoping that my eyes are playing tricks and I'll see "Shipped" but no luck. I also keep checking my CC but only see the AppleCare charge from June 12. I wonder if my Apple Care will expire on June 12 or when I finally get my computer!

I think you are on to something as I didn't tell her that it was people on MacRumors but I told her I had a couple of friends that ordered the same system as mine on the 12th and 13th and they already had their computers. That's when she started on she could only see my order - not sure even if you had other order numbers she would discuss them with you but it is worth a try if someone who received their computer will share (their order number)!
Can you tell me exactly when you placed your order? Also if you had anything strange about your order like if you had a student discount or business discount? Did you place it online or over the phone? What week set were you quoted (3-4 week) etc?

Thanks! We need to figure out what is holding up our computers that were ordered on 06/11. My order confirmation came through at 4:04:24 PM CDT.
We have a stat holiday today. The reason why your computer didn't ship is because of the holiday. It will ship to Mississauga (Pearson Airport) tomorrow.
Im sure the packages should be moving still, just maybe no update? Mine is set to deliver tomorrow by 5. I have the same in transit for over 24 hours.
