Those of you that are relying on peoples info on this forum and saying they have no reason yo lie... you are right there is no reason. Doesnt mean it doesnt happen. Remember the first spreadsheet...people are *ricks.

I'll post if I hear anything back, but the rep's attitude was pretty much non-belief that later orders were shipping first. He said he's inclined to not trust postings on this forum (like people have any reason to lie and say they've received their orders).

I asked when I could expect my order and he just regurgitated what the order status page has said since the 11th: Delivers July 10-23

Okay so I have been following this thread pretty closely and also the spreadsheet. Here is my .02.

I am in the 2.7/16/768 June 11th group and I received my email confirmation at 2:12:31 PM PST. My order bills and ships to CA. After studying everything I actually think that Apple has been doing things the expected way. Essentially they have several production lines. If you ordered a 2.7/16/768 before someone who ordered a 2.6/16/768 that doesn't necessarily mean that you are going to get your order before them. You are only in line with the orders of your configuration type or limited BTO part availability. This obviously can change as parts are limited in production. Our sentiments of thinking that 768 SSD drives are likely the hold up might be true. The other observation I have made is that European orders have their own fulfillment schedule. I have seen German orders of 2.7/16/768 ordered after me get delivered before mine and I think that is based on geographic location. I think we should only compare orders made for US shipment only in terms of time and configuration.

I have yet to see evidence of another US bound 2.7/16/768 ordered after June 11 2:12 PM PST ship or change status. If I'm wrong speak up. I think people should stop hammering Apple executive email accounts and just trust that your order is in cue. Let's not lose perspective that Apple is obviously doing their best to deliver a laptop BEFORE it's expected delivery date. Those of you complaining and whinnying about your order that isn't showing up magically before Apple promised it should just go ahead and cancel your order and save us the boredom of reading your post.

Not sure I remember the exact time I ordered but my Order Confirmation for a 2.7/16/768 shipping to Texas is for 4:02 pm CST (2:02 PDT) - that is 10 minutes before your order unless your time is not the time on your order confirmation! So, I should get my shipping notice before you do based on your theory. What you didn't say is if your computer has shipped?

Also, didn't you tell us earlier today to keep calling Apple and that you were upset b/c Gazelle was wanting your current computer?

There have been some in the US that "claim" they have their 2.7/16/768 - not sure if they do or don't but it still appears that the people that ordered on 06/12 got a 2-4 week shipping date and that is being honored vs. the order date/time.

I can tell you that on 06/12, I reconfigured my computer and saw the 2-4 week shipping time but chose not to re-order as I thought Apple honored the order vs. the shipping confirmation time. That is clearly my error. If I could do it again, I would have ordered a second system on 06/12 and then cancelled my 06/11 order. I would probably be typing this email on my new computer right now. Then I missed a unit in a store by an hour according to the manager. I guess it isn't my time but it will be!!

You are correct. My order is still processing and I haven't seen any hold on my credit card. I think the order confirmation email is an accurate way of comparing order times. I placed my order over the phone with my Apple business guy and the second he hit send on that order is the second you get in the cue. I would expect that you will get your confirmation before me. Keep a look out for each others "shipping" posts to see if my theory is right. Good luck!

Well. U got to admit, they've not fallen back on their side of the deal yet have they? It's pretty sad they haven't delivered yours yet, and I find it pretty worrisome. BUT, they have not broken their side of the agreement. So...

10th - 23rd.

Amen. Don't start griping until Apple blows their promised delivery window.

Guys...guys...come on ! Your time will come. While I can't be sure, I don't think I have seen ONE person say they missed their delivery window yet.

I got my Retina on the first promised day. However, many that ordered after me, got theirs before me. Just relax and don't cancel your order.

When you get it, you will be a happy camper. It is sweet !

Hey guys, this is my first post, I'm just wondering right now my MBPR is on Fed Ex flight FDX94 to Memphis and is landing in about an hour. From this point, is there any flights to California today, and does it go to LAX or Ontario. Thanks for your help.

I never thought I would say this, ******* the holiday 4th of july, I want my MBPR so bad.....:(

This guy hit it on the head. It'd be nice to get our stuff early AND with a free tchotchke thrown in. But as long as they hit the window they offered you when bought it, they haven't done anything wrong or broken any promises to you.

My status has been stuck on Processing for over a week at this point. But, meh, could be worse. I could be working in that factory making those laptops.

What really frustrates me is the people that call and berate Apple reps for free stuff like a super drive or shipping. Honestly it's people like that who are going to force Apple to lower is customer service level. I hope they get black flagged in the system so that people like me who never even return a device for a bad pixel can ask for the help when I really need it.

Yep. Chinese are pretty hard working kind of people.

You are just trying to form cliques and separate people out...
And your motive is low not high.
Cut the crap.

Mooching for free giveaways like a baby is pretty low, but your separatist ideology is worse.

It's good not to return defective products? Thank you for enlightening me.

The point isn't missed delivery windows, it's that people who ordered after the 11th are receiving their computers before people who ordered on the 11th. This is not a fair way to distribute these things.

In response to the other posts, these are the EXACT same configurations (2.7/16/768), so blaming the discrepancy on CTO configuration isn't valid. It's also not a country thing as others in the US have already received theirs.

TNT sucks....

They call it TNT EXPRESS but the item was stationary for almost 48 hours

I am gonna regurgitate a theory that I saw on here earlier, and that is a change in the ordering system that was made in between release day and 2-3 days later. Because of a shortage of the 768 SSD, people who ordered first were given a pretty long waiting time (3-5 weeks), and at some point later (when their stocks were updated) they quoted quicker waiting times for those who ordered the 768 SSD config much later. However, those who ordered earlier did not get an update to their queue and thus people who've ordered after you are getting theirs first. Maybe this is BS who knows. But it does make sense.

It's not specific to the 768s. We have people who ordered stock models on the 23rd who have had theirs shipped (confirmed), while others who ordered before haven't seen any movement. Who knows why?

It works for any config. The est. delivery range that you are assigned depends on the demand as well as the supply. It also doesn't change, so if you place an order while supply is low and some other guy places an order a few days later (maybe right after supply is increased and added to inventory), he may get his laptop before you do.

Edit: it's been 21 days since I placed my order and they haven't even started to build my system yet. This is pretty pathetic on Apples part. The rMBP is definitely the best mainstream 15-inch laptop thats out right now so I'm willing to wait it out, but I am only giving them another week and if they don't ship it by then, I will most likely just cancel and pickup something else.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you know that they haven't started to build your machine?

Honestly I don't. It's pretty much a guess on my part, because who really knows what processing or preparing shipment really means (some people have been in the preparing stage for several days, while others see the transition to shipped in a matter of hours). I've been stuck at processing for 3 weeks now so I would bet that they haven't gotten to me yet. All I know if that I was given 3-4 weeks to ship, and tomorrow will be the start of my 4th week. If it doesn't ship at the end of the 4th week, then at least I'll have a good enough reason to complain. Until then, I'll just wait it out like everyone else :)

Yeah thats fair. I'm starting my 3rd week of waiting now. I got charged last Friday for the price of the computer, and I'm still in the processing stage. I imagine once I get to the end of the 3rd week I'm going to start getting miffed if I don't see any movement.
