To be fair, it's just four days since it was released. Not seven. ;)

But I understand you, waiting isn't fun.

And retailers/state governments are pushing adding sales tax to purchases from online retailers despite the fact that we usually also have to pay shipping and wait for an eternity. So messed up.

Gift card shipped and will be here Monday. MacBook is still processing . Order placed Monday evening, 2-3 weeks, delivers June 28 - Jul 5. Base model retina.

We're on the same boat. It looks like their clearing up the shipment so hopefully we see a change on Monday.

Yep I ordered on release day too; still processing. This is getting ridiculous! Some people who ordered after me have already received their computers but I haven't budged from processing. I only ordered the base model too :( Got my superdrive; giftcard has shipped.
Us 7-10 dayers are cursed.

I am 5 - 7 days. I think the variation is largely about the BTO options and it's not like there's one person filling the orders in sequence, some parts of the operation are just going to flow faster than others.

Hi,

Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread.

I just tried to order Macbook Pro 13" on the Apple website. I want a Saturday delivery as I work during the week, but it did not give me the option.

Any ideas how to do this?

Thanks

You can do that pre-sign thing and have them leave it at your door or have a neighbor accept the package for you. Otherwise you can ask FedEx to hold it and you can pick it up from them on Saturday (I believe).

I meant that on the site there are various delivery options defined such as next day, morning, afternoon, saturday etc..

But when you try to order the only option is free and there seems to be no way of changing it.

If I'm spending £1000 on something I want to be there when it is delivered

Yeah that's why I gave alternative options; I was also unable to change the shipping method.

anyone else's computer stuck on the Alaskan flight to nowhere?

been 16 hours, so it should've been put on a flight to somewhere and scanned again, right?

Some folks have even had theirs delivered today and shipped from China at the same time.

Any change on yours yet? Mine STILL seems to be "stuck" in Alaska. I know I've brought this up already today, but I'm getting frustrated! I need to step away from the ctrl+F5 key on the FedEx and NewEgg trackers!

Yeah I've been posting the same. Mine is still in transit from Anchorage as of 25 hours ago.

Arrived just now! Setup time...

base model RMBP, 16GB, ordered on Monday afternoon.
Did your FedEx tracking info update to 'out for delivery' before you received your package?

Finally in alaska... I just wish fedex delivered saturday, then mine would probably be here tomorrow.

This is probably completely obsessive but there is a lovely extension for Google Chrome called "Easy Auto Refresh"..

I have it set to update
order info on apple.com every 120 seconds
-and-
credit card authorizations every 120 seconds

I ordered with educational discount a RMBP 2.6/16/512 Monday at 17:45 EDT.

Tuesday morning I had 3 temp charges on my credit card, one for $254.90 Apple Care, on for $100 education gift card, and one for around $350 for the Mac.

The Apple Care charge posted Wednesday but the other two stayed as temporary authorizations.

This morning the $100 charge posted and I got excited because the $350 authorization had vanished and I assumed that meant they would be charging the full amount soon...

Nothing yet though.... Still processing.

I'm finding it really useful to keep checking what other peoples' experiences are on here... particularly what time they ordered and which configuration they got.

So ordering at 17:45 EDT gave me a "Ships: 7 - 10 business days"
"Delivers Jun 25 - 28"

It sounds like they have just started processing the 7-10 day, 2.6/16/512 orders very recently...

If you order 2.3/16/256 now it says delivery from July 17th. But when I remove the Magsafe-Magsafe2 adapter it says delivery from July 13th.
If this is true I would like to cancel the magsafe adapter for my 3-4 week order...

Anybody has an explanation for this?

Odd because my MS to MS2 adapter arrived already even though my MBPR is still in processing.

Ordered MBPR 2.7/512/16 mid day ET on Monday with 5-7 day shipment notice. 'processing' last night, shipment notice this morning. In Anchorage now. Due to my Midwest residence on Tuesday.
Education gift card to arrive Monday.
I did pay for 2 day. I'll have to check what they charged me for.
