It didn't actually. It was weird, it showed up as 'delivery exception - missed truck.' So I called, and asked if I could go get it, and they said no - they put it on another truck and it'd be at the designated Kinko's as per my hold instructions by 5p today. Around 3p I'm here at home and the doorbell rings - FedEx man with my box.
Weird, but worked out since I was home anyway.
I stand corrected. I don't think anyone has seen any movement on the 7-10 day shipping times yet, but that's to be expected, as it's only been 4.
I had to ship direct to a Dallas store because I don't trust not being at home and dealing with all of that, says item will be able to pickup on July 20th from Apple Store. Does anyone know if that date can improve sooner? Hopefully? Going iPad only till then. Also since Mountain Lion is suppose I come out in July do you think I'll already have it loaded with ML on it? Probably not..but maybe.
My estimate was 5-7 days and it shipped on day 4, so you might see movement on day 6 or on the earlier side of the 7-10 day range. Initial delivery estimate was between June 26th and June 28th. Now FedEx is giving me delivery by June 20th before 12pm, a full 6 days ahead of schedule!
hey guys, anyone notice a period of time where your temp auth completely disappeared off your card? cause mine has been there since the second i ordered and i just went in to check and see if there's any good news and now i've got no statement activity from apple at all - no temp auths and no charges. good sign or terrifying sign????
Not sure if I will see any movement over the weekend since they aren't "business days," but who knows. We have no idea how sophisticated the algorithm that generates those estimates are. Not very, from the looks of things, as almost everyone's items have been shipped before the quoted window of time.

Yep, my temp auth disappeared this morning but still haven't seen any other signs of update...
One out of my three charges from Apple has disappeared. It was the only one that was pending and not actually charged... But still. Mine arrived in Alaska yesterday at 2pm and according to fed ex and newegg it's still stuck there.

Earlier in the thread I mentioned how you and me were in the same boat.
I just checked my tracking again and the status changed from "In transit" in Anchorage to "Departed FedEx Location" at 3:35PM AKDT after arriving there at 1:18PM the day before. That means it has been sitting in Alaska for 26 1/3 hours (...so inefficient). If yours arrived in Alaska at 2PM that means it should be shipping out shortly. The next Anchorage FedEx flights are as follows:

Your tracking info should update at one of those times.
Mine has been stuck at "In transit" from Alaska for nearly 24 hours now. They driving it down or something? 
Edit: Just saw Mapex's post. Good to know they plan on actually delivering it... But it's 5:13PM in AKDT time now so those flights have already left but no update in the system (not sure how long it takes to update on the site).

I had the same issue; read the post right above yours for when the next Alaska-departing FedEx flights are and wait for those times before checking your tracking information again. I just had mine ship out an hour ago after the package sat in Alaska for 26 hours.

The fedex hub is in Memphis. Most everything is routed through memphis then sent to your respective airport.
I am in the 2-3 weeks bracket, so not expecting mine for some time.
The only reason I am getting it delivered is because I get free AppleCare for ordering online at my Uni campus. But if this wasn't the case, I would definitely not wait this long, so why are other people doing it. I imagine you will be able to pick them up no problem by the end of next week in store. Unless Apple are shockingly low on stock.
It seems like they haven't been stock piling the rMBP's.
