Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

Ordered on 16th (2.3/16GB), shipped two days ago. Now landed from Shanghai to Osaka, Japan due to adverse weather conditions. Doesn't even say when to expect it anymore. Sigh.
 
June 17th Order - 2.7/16/512 Flew from Shanghai straight to Memphis then Memphis to LA and based on tracking looks like it will be delivered within a few hours (a day earlier than estimated on the fedex tracking page).

Based on most of this morning's comments it looks like Apple's 2-3 day shipping to the US is mostly just 2 days.

looks like we're on the same plane. hopefully, it got on this plane: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS105 (going from osaka -->anchorage), aka. no update for 6 hours. I am not sure about the timing between plane departed time and departure scan. Logically speaking, our rMBP missed the flight :'( now gotta wait a few more hours :'( :(:(

Yeah. looks like the holdup was just for two hours. It's departed from Osaka now. My ETA was monday, so It's not like it matters much I guess. It will sit somewhere over the weekend either way.
 
Not sure if those who already received their machines still lurk this thread, but can you guys please post screen shots of your tracking info? I'm trying to get an estimate of how soon I can get my laptop. Estimate is monday, shipped out last night. But I wont be in town for almost a week :rolleyes:

I was hoping it would be here by friday. guess that ain't hapenning. one can always hope though.

General: Say it delivers to my town on the weekend, is it possible for me to call and pick-up at the UPS store when it is open??

I think it's not really depends on the type of keyboard ordered. It seems to depend more on country you place your order from. I live in Poland, Europe - ordered BTO 2.6/16/512 on 26th with the US keyboard (the most common I think) and still it appears that guys ordering from the US here on the forum are getting their computers shipped much sooner than European ones.

My June 18th order is coming this friday, just shipped yesterday. I'd say you're looking into late next week if not the following week

Mine has been stuck on this for quite some time now. I'm wondering if it is stuck in Memphis waiting for a flight to somewhere near Vancouver (where I live) or it's on a flight right now?? :confused: Does anyone know if it would be flying to Anchorage, LA, Seattle, Vancouver....?

Depends, from what I've read its randomly put on planes depending on what time it gets to the airport, and only the 777 will go to memphis, all other aircraft dont have enough range to make it to memphis so they land and refuel in alaska. I got lucky I guess going on a direct flight but it still needs to make it over to the eastern US and hasnt moved since last night while another member on the same flight as mine already has his out for delivery. doesnt make sense for me I thought it would be in NJ by now.

EDIT: just updated and it looks like FEDEX is lagging on updating because from the last arrival scan in memphis at 2am it didnt do anything until just now at 11:30am it said its departed the fedex facility in Newark, NJ! Maybe it will get here today im only about a 45min drive from there and I think its on a truck coming to my closest fedex location which is about 10min from my house....it has to get here.....

This means it is about to or already is on a flight out of Memphis, where it is going nobody knows. It would make sense if it was going to Vancouver.

I think they do that because of IDIOT Banks like mine (don't use Everbank) which have low limits on their Visa Checking cards and even though I told them about 10 times that the charge was coming and they assured me it would work, they still declined it. Had to call in, and retry, and it was OK.

Long rant short the pending charge isn't really a charge. It's just a hold on the amount to make sure the money is there when it will get charged. I was so happy I got it yesterday - I thought the RMBP was about to ship. But, no. Didn't. Still "Processing".

So 48 hours, eh? Bummer. Will probably take as long for me too, plz update here when it changes to preparing for shipment. I want to know how long it will take.

Ordered a 2.6/16/512 on 6/13 in Thailand, estimated delivery date 7/9-7/20.

Finally went to 'Preparing For Shipment' after 4 days of a pending charge on my card. Now for part two of the waiting game!
 
GAAAAHHHH! Its supposed to be here today but it's been in transit from Alaska since 4:50 yesterday. No updates at all today :/ (Being delivered to VA)
 
Add me to the list of those impatiently waiting... ;) I've been lurking on this thread for quite a while now - the wait is driving me insane enough that I figured it was time to finally post, LOL.

I actually initially ordered a base model 2.3/8/256 on the 11th, shipped the 15th, received the 18th. Very impressive order process, quick shipping, etc. for a first time mac girl (other than my iPhone).

But buyer's remorse set in when I realized the day after ordering that you could not increase the RAM yourself down the road if necessary. I gave it a good week of testing and realized that 8GB would not be enough if this computer is to last me the 4-5 years that I usually go between upgrades. So I sadly returned it, and went back in the order cue for a new one...

(Expidited shipping, no special discounts, going to the US)

I almost cried with joy the other day when I saw my CC had a new pending charge from apple, but no updates since then. What I found odd was that I was charged $15.98, even though the expedited shipping is listed as $15 on the order page? No change in status on the order page, and still no pending charge from the computer itself.

Needless to say, I'm refreshing my CC, apple order, and this thread NON-stop! I was hoping for an early delivery like the first one, but looks like no such luck this time around.
 
Awesome, I just called Best Buy and they agreed to give me a 1 week extension on returning my current base RMBP (I have until the 21st now). I wish I would've pushed them a little further and got 2 weeks, but I should be happy that I got this :p

Now I just need to hope that Apple sends my 2.3/16/256 order out a little bit ahead of time... ordered on July 9th, don't want to have to wait 2 weeks without a MacBook :(
 
still processing here..... was hoping i'd be amongst the lucky ones who ordered on the 28th that would get shipped out.

but that hasn't happened. definitely won't be getting it in time for my birthday which is sunday. sigh.
