Any movement from anyone who ordered a base model on the 17th? Mine's still processing despite the fact others who've ordered later have had theirs shipped. I'll be ringing Apple if it hasn't changed by the end of my 4 week shipping window (Sunday). My first delivery date is Tuesday so looks like it's not going to make it.

So my MacBook has shipped which is great. Estimated delivery date is 20th which is a day later the earliest original delivery estimate when I ordered.

I ordered a 2.6/16/512 BTO using the UK EDU store on June 18th. It went to prepared for shipping earlier today and shipped about an hour ago.

Expo isn't showing my information yet but I imagine it's too soon for that to show up yet.

I'm sure like everyone here that I hope I get a direct flight to the UK and it gets delivered Monday but we will see.

I ordered the base model on the 17th, but I had an issue with payment so I was delayed by two days while I got that sorted. My laptop shipped today however, and is scheduled to be delivered Monday (I got free upgraded shipping by calling Apple). If I was you I'd give them a call, just mention that it hasn't shipped yet and you'd like to receive it faster, they'll probably upgrade the shipping for free.

That's unfortunate, I remember when I ordered an iPhone they didn't offer expedited shipping. On another note, does anyone's shipping information match mine?

I'm in the same boat as you mate - ordered a base model on 18th, still processing. Speculation is they're sending base models out to the stores before fulfilling online orders, which, y'know, is kind of **** from a consumer standpoint. But as long as they are fulfilling their delivery window estimate of 16th-20th July (which, I assume, is the same as yours) they are breaking no laws or promises.

Let's hope we both see some movement soon, but you're right - it's frustrating seeing other, non-base, orders being shipped. It almost makes me wish I'd forked out for the 16GB RAM.

Yeah, we never had the option. I called Apple a week ago to ask if it was possible to upgrade to expedited, and the rep told me it wasn't possible to add expedited shipping to the order while it was processing and that I'd have to cancel the order before taking one out with expedited shipping. ********, if you ask me.

Ugh 2.3/16/256 for US ordered on June 23rd and still processing. Not even a charge or hold is on my bank account or credit card. Looks like it will still be a long wait.

Delivery attempted at 9:45 am (a day earlier than the Fedex expected delivery), so I'm off to the depot after work. Fortunately, my office is only 3 miles from the depot.

Seems like we get the raw end of the deal! The UK customer service don't seem to be anywhere near as helpful as the US people. I'll hold off ringing Apple until Sunday since that'll be when they've passed the end of the 3-4 week shipping window I was given. My estimate is the 17th to 23rd, probably because it has to merge with my edu gift card. I'm staying happy for now since there's still time for it to start moving, but I think I've lost some respect for Apple in the way this whole thing has been handled.

Ordered mine, 2.3/16/256 on the 30th so it's going on 2 weeks. I have the 830 SSD, USB 3.0 enclosure and Incase Terra case but no computer. Why or why did I wait so long to pull the trigger.

EDIT: Order was shipped on July 11th about 8 hours after 'preparing'--around 12AM, July 12th here. It is now in transit, still in Shanghai, with an expected delivery on July 17th by 4:30PM.

I'm with you guys but from Germany. But hold it up for some days, mine just changed to "Preparing for shipment" some minutes ago! Ordered it on the 18th of June (2.3/8/256) and felt like "hey guys, you forgetting meh?" because so many BTO/19th/20th have been shipped/prepared in the last 48+ hours... yours will join them in the next for sure
