I went to see it at an apple store. However, I went the day after it was released, so I wasn't really able to mess around with it too much.
After 24h, status is changed to "shipped". Estimated delivery 07/26. No tracking info yet

I just ordered my MBPr 512/2.6/16 on July 9th and I have the same delivery date as if you ordered today with fast shipping and I also have the fast shipping. Mine says it wont deliver until Aug 3-8 which sucks and it is to replace a defective macbook pro that I already ordered and returned. Now computer-less for 2-3 more weeks .......

3am yesterday would have likely been after their cutoff. You should see some update after 12am EST
I ordered mine the day it was announced and refused to look at one in the store. I know it sounds strange, but I wanted to see it in all its glory when I was able to keep it.
If I saw it in the store and wasn't able to take it home, it would drive me crazy.

Ive been trying to use expeditors and flightaware to find my package however I dont know how to locate the details such as destination/airport/plane numbers... Any Help on where I could find this info, im using Fedex Expedited

Biglobe: Did you get any further updates on your shipment? Mine still shows "Departed Facility in SHANGHAI - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC"
Most users don't seem to update their status.

Ordered on 06/20/2012 2.7/16/512; it shipped Friday the 13th from Shanghai; arrived in Anchorage Saturday; arrived and departed from Oakland today. Hopefully delivery tomorrow (?)

This thing is awesome! The display is absolutely stunning - like no other display I've ever seen before except for the iPad3!

Stuck in customs for a day.
Left Shenzen 7/14, went on a little sight seeing tour in the Yangtze delta before arriving in Hong Kong 7/16.
Arrived in Bangkok/Thailand: 7/17
ETA Chiang Mai/Thailand: 7/18 - pretty confident on that as customs already cleared. Although this is DHL maybe they'll send it by pony express.

I ordered my MBP (Retina, 2.6, 16GB, 512) through compnow in Sydney, Australia on 16 June. Now saying it might arrive by the end of July at the earliest. Does that seem like a long time???

DHL sucks.
They picked it up a day late; then they sent it around China for 2 days. Altogether the DHL loss on this shipment is around 3 days.
The machines are de facto in Bangkok and past customs right now. If I was you I'd tell DHL to leave it wherever it is now, and go pick it up from the office.
Oh yeah my complaint to Apple is on its way.
