Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

I haven't. Apple customer service officer called and told me that DHL hasn't got back to them yet (just before he knocked off from work). The only information available is my rMBP is already in Singapore but DHL has yet to locate it. He added that there's slim chance I'll be receiving it today. :(

They messed up something with the shipment. Typical DHL. Anyway, now let's wait for tomorrow. :(

Cool, maybe I'll see some movement next week then.

Has anyone recently gotten Apple to give them a free super drive or anything like that? I'm not going to whine to get one, but if it's something they're just handing out, I may as well ask..

Yeah, Apple should have hired a more competent courier. If few items from the same shipment can be lost to nowhere, then there's something wrong with their protocol... these are not small items some more :)
 
I cancelled my order and reordered the next day because I forgot to take advantage of a discount that saved me over $300, and the reorder took over an hour on the phone to deal with some gift cards I used. While the girl on the phone was waiting for her supervisor to approve everything she said, "let's take you shopping!". Her idea.

I got a set of Bose speakers. Not sure how much I will use them but since I already have the SuperDrive there wasn't much else I needed. Was really good of her since I was just happy to save the money.:)

Mine now cannot be cancelled online. Does it indicate that it will enter 'preparing for shipment' status? :confused:

I ordered the exact same configuration and the same day.. just going to NJ instead..
 
06/21 Delivered to Brooklyn

Saw that my doorman signed for it this morning. This is gonna be a loooong day at work.

Original delivery estimate was 06/20-26.
 
After 6 days of waiting for DHL to get it together, finally got it today. I picked up at DHL office which saved a few hours. I don't know why Apple is choosing DHL freight on that one - well OK maybe it's because I got it on EDU discount...

As I was setting it up, I got pretty much all the problems people have reported
- Dock app went to 100% CPU and stayed there. Easy to see in Activity Monitor.
-- Solution: Go to preferences and set your screen background on each space in your spaces. The reason Dock is freaking out is because it can't find one of the background images so resetting them all should take care of it. If not google for it, there's a thread on apple stackexchange for this.
- Graphics got all messed up - it looked like the screen went bad. I googled for this too and turns out it's a known bug when OS X Lion switches from discrete to integrated graphics or vice versa. Installed gfxCardStatus and set it to integrated - I had planned to do that anyway as I don't play 3D games and anything else on my screen should not require discrete gfx - I'd rather have the battery life and a lot less heat, thanks. Fixed the messed up gfx right away.

Charge to card has been made! I ordered around 1pm ET on 6/26 using a business discount.
 
My 6/24 order went into "Preparing for Shipment" sometime early this morning. Was nice to wake up and see that the status had finally changed!
 
Ordered MBPr 2 days ago (Already Shipped!?)

I just ordered a Macbook Pro w/ retina display the other night and was told it would be delivered between August 3rd - August 10th.

I checked my order status today and to my pleasant surprise it will be arriving this Friday! Definitely not a 2-3 week delay here!

Congrats! They must be catching up with demand on that particular configuration.
