Sometime btw 4 & 7:45pm my rMBP went into preparing for shipment!!!!!! Ordered 2.3/16/256 edu on 6/26 4am central. Hopefully I can get it by Sat.
Arrived this morning before lunch time. Transferred my data and applications from a Time Machine backup. The retina display is simply amazing!

First post here. rMBP 2.3/16/256 ordered 05/07/12 just changed to 'Preparing for shipment'.
Upgrading from 2006 Macbook (white) 2,1 (1.83Ghz C2D/2.5GB DDR2/60GB 5200rpm). Expecting a huge leap in performance.
My order was completed on 10/07/12 due to credit card issues. Definitely improvement in shipping times.
PS: Shipping to Australia

pending shipping charge
Ordered MBP w/retina 2.3/16/256 on July 2nd with EDU discount and Ethernet adapter. Status is still Processing Items. But I now see a pending shipping charge for $15 on my credit card.....

Yeah, Apple should have hired a more competent courier. If few items from the same shipment can be lost to nowhere, then there's something wrong with their protocol... these are not small items some more
Update: DHL forgot our container in Hong Kong. It's sitting there waiting for the next available flight to Singapore. DHL cannot assure they can deliver it today and I doubt they will.

Hey guys! I have been reading this thread for several days now, and decided to join up and toss my story into the mix.
I ordered the 2.3/16/256 on 7/11/12. I am obviously a bit late to this party and have some time to wait. Must say this forum thread is all that is keeping me sane while waiting.
I am coming from an 2006 mbp 2.33 core 2 w/ 3g and 500gb. running lion now and Unity3d game dev engine. compiling game to ipad takes ~30min, I am really hoping new rMbp has more oomph!

Booyah its got tracking UPS out for delivery!
Delivered at 6:30pm... was getting worried the UPS guy wasn't coming! It's beautiful. CS6 is just as great as it always was and it'll just be better come retina update.

This seems really unfair... ordered on 04/07 and my order ist still "processing".. nothing changed yet.
It looks like those 16 GB Ram Versions are shipping a lot faster

Haha, I'm upgrading from the exact same model white MacBook as you, except I've 3GB ram in mine. If we don't see a huge leap in performance, something is definitely wrong
Oh, and I'm also in Australia. Hope we both see our rMBPs soon!

I ordered a retina MBP 2.6/8/512 on Tuesday (7/17) from Amazon. I was originally quoted arrival between 8/8 and 8/15.
Received a "we have good news!" email from Amazon on 7/18, telling me that my order was going to be faster than originally quoted, and that I could expect it between 7/20 and 7/23.
Got an email later in the day saying that the order had shipped and was slated for delivery even earlier - on 7/19. It's en route now, currently sitting in Ontario, California. Final delivery will be in Burbank, California (about 50 miles west). I have Amazon Prime and opted for 1 day shipping for a few extra bucks.
Order on a Tuesday and, if all goes as planned, delivery on Thursday. Phenomenal.
BTW: I ordered from Amazon in order to save sales tax (as a CA resident, there is no tax on orders shipped here, although this will soon change).
Is supply really so unconstrained now, or was I just incredibly lucky?

I also ordered through the edu store on the 2nd and also still at processing.. Think some of the July order statuses are now beginning to change so hopefully we will see something soon. Mine is heading to the UK..
