2 weeks since I got my order confirmation...still no change...still processing with a 3-4 week (not sure where they're getting that time frame since Aug 2-8 would be 4-5 weeks from my order confirmation!)....yet the website now says 2-3 weeks. So are people ordering now going to get theirs before I get mine? This is the first thing I've ordered thru apple that was this annoying to get.
This is why I bought my MBA in the store. Sadly, no 2.6/16/512 option in the store....for some reason.....grabbing a different dimm on the assembly line requires an extra month build time!!

It's all looking good so far. My tracking is matching up with yours as long as I leave it in local scan time.
I'm living in Vancouver. Do you think the package will go to transfer at Memphis to Vancouver or directly to Vancouver from Anchorage?
Well if you're on the same flight as me it will go to Memphis first. There is an overnight flight from Memphis to Vancouver: it leaves Memphis at 4:19am (FX 142). There are also some flights to Toronto, Winnipeg and Seattle but I think yours will go on the direct flight from Memphis to Vancouver. You might be able to get it tomorrow though I'm not 100% sure.
Fedex estimated day is 23rd, which is next Monday.
I saw the flight you talked about, FX142 departed from Memphis to Vancouver at 4:19am CDT
I hope my package can catch that flight after arriving at Memphis at 12:47am CDT. Finger crossed!

Just waiting on paperwork, dont worry it will likely change status shortly.
It's usually related to customs paperwork. I got the same notice last year. Then once my MBP was in Alaska (customs terminal) they rejected the paperwork for some reason. The palate of new Macs that included mine was delayed just over 23 days. Once it left Alaska it made it to CA in just over one day.

all i've seen is the word: "processing" so sick of seeing that
ydaf, renner, conandoyle and katmeef - Mine sat for a whole day in Shanghai, but I'm pretty sure it's also on FX28 to Memphis with yours, would be awesome if they can deliver on Friday instead of Monday (scheduled for Mon. Jul 23, 2012 by 4:30 PM). The time and distances involved are amazing. Fingers crossed

Ordered 2.6/16/512 on July 4th (Independance Day gave me the time to decide) from Education Store. California Tax is freaking high, so I shipped it to my parents in Oregon to save on Sales Tax. So the EDU discount + no sales tax meant I got mine for $2794.00 which was a killer deal IMO.
I'll be driving to Oregon but leaving on the 1st to drive back to Los Angeles. It says the first that it could arrive is the 1st of August (to the 7th) but I'm hoping with all these increased shipping times the 14 hour drive won't be in vain, and that I won't be returning just when my package arrives. That would be the worst!
Any other 4th of July purchasers out there?

I ordered the base model on July 14. I'm a little tardy to the party, I know, but this forum has been really helpful! It looks like as time goes on that they're shipping out faster.
I purchased mine on the 4th and I am still waiting as well. I had to pay sales tax here in TX so mine came to about $3000, same machine as you. You're lucky...
I heard of one person who ordered on the 4th and already got his machine (in Canada!!), but that was just luck I think. Hopefully we'll get ours soon.

Typing this from my Retina MacBook Pro. I must say, this is the best computer I've ever used in my entire life. The display is breathtaking, the performance is mind blowing and the form factor is beautiful. Definitely worth the 3 week wait. And with that, I resign from this thread. You guys have been awesome during the wait period.

I think mine will be on fdx128 to Toronto, leaving Memphis at 420 cst and arriving in TO at 7am, but that may be too late to get on the truck for delivery tomorrow
Anyone know the cutoff time to get on a delivery truck? Called FedEx a while ago and asked if it doesn't deliver tomorrow if I can grab it myself instead of waiting for Monday. I was told that as long as its been released by customs I can call to make arrangements to pick it up... Hopefully doing so won't jinx anything...
