Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

It's nice to see that if I order a new rMBP today the estimated delivery date is one day earlier than the one I have, having paid for expedited shipping, for my July 7th order. (NOT)

She gave me the free upgrade to expedited shipping, but never offered a super drive. After she changed my shipping, my order is showing Aug 2- Aug 8 vs Aug 3- Aug 9 as delivery days. Still hoping that the laptop will ship out early this week. guess we will just have to wait and see.

They tried to give me free speakers (I already paid for expedited shipping because I knew I would be antsy after a month of waiting). I asked politely if I could have a superdrive instead because I said I was going to buy one anyways and I already had speakers. It's kind of hard for me to do that but I thought I must as well try, and it worked! :)

No update on my 7/4 order so far unfortunately. :(

Mine has now changed to shipped and the delivery date is for the 27th of July (subject to change)

Same here. I ordered mine on July 5th and its not going to arrive until after Aug 7th. Yet if I ordered it today it might arrive sooner, based on the new estimates? That makes sense!
 
I called because of all the shipping estimates improvements and got faster shipping. If someones in a similar boat as me, they could probably do the same.

I called as well, and complained about the new order estimate changing every week, while mine has stayed the same, so they gave me 2-3 day shipping to make it less horrible. Still sucks tho, since my estimate is on a wed...which means it still won't arrive until Mon.
 
It was not a replacement order, just an online order with the education discount.

At first shipping time was stated as 2-3 weeks. Then I checked back a few days later and it said 1-2 weeks. Then last night got an email that my order has shipped.

Some other members say it may be longer because they may merge my $100 gift card though so it would take longer... hope this is not true!

When I first ordered mine, on 7/11, the shipping times were 3-4 w. 2 days later the times dropped to 2-3 w. I called apple to see if that meant mine would ship out sooner. The rep assured me that the process was "first come first serve". Shortly after my order was updated to reflect the new estimates. While mine is still saying 2-3 w I was told again that my order would be filled in the order it was received.

So has anyone seen their status change? Did your estimates update to show "1-2weeks" ?
 
Yup when Apple updated delivery dates from "2-3 weeks" to "1-2 weeks", my order status changed as well it now says ships "1-2 weeks".

However, expected delivery date only changed from 8/4 to 8/3.

Really hope the rep was right, although logistics must be a factor as well.

I got my gift card a couple days ago, and it shipped out two days after the order.


I'm still pissed about this shipping. They made it sound like they knew nothing about it, so I gave the woman a bit of attitude and said "well I guess all those people were lying" :mad:

Yeah I got the "I have no insite into that" answer when I asked about why others were getting their shipments out of order. I am just hoping that this thing goes out this weekend

If your order needs to merge, it would state so when you click on Track Order.

I get this message in fine print:

Please Note: Your items dispatched from different locations and will be merged together before delivery. Once merged, your Order Status will be updated with carrier and tracking information (at latest 48 business hours before your estimated delivery date).

I've waited patiently for 3 weeks now and now they expect my order to arrive by Aug 2 despite shipping today! Really? Ok, I can accept that they may not deliver on weekends but even that AND packing my gift card in with my rMBP should not result in a 13 day delivery time! (9 days not including weekends!).

Ordered 7/4 and it still shows me 3-4 weeks.
This rep you talked to is a liar. If that's true that those who ordered first will get their machines first than why are people getting their machines first who ordered after me?

Interesting that all three of you are on the same flight.

Mine looks to be on that flight as well, as my timestamp exactly matches that of bamaster, from 5:51 onwards.

Mine is a 2.6/512/16GB ordered 6/28, going to St. Louis. I hope Monday isn't too optimistic a thought (Apple says Wednesday), and also wish for the rest of you to get yours Monday too!

I'd say give it a try, but I haven't had any problems with mine since that day. Now it's working great, and the battery is at 8760 mAh compared to the design capacity of 8460 mAh. I know that's not super accurate, but an extra 3% battery juice at this size is not bad! :D

By the way, did your order come later than expected? Or why did you call after 2 weeks? I called them and got expedited shipping, but didn't think to ask about a charger. What did you say exactly that got you that charger?
