Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

Actually I just wanted a general idea from people who had ordered one and how long it took to get from preparing to ship to dispatched.
Bad News
Just got an E-mail that there will be a delay in shipping because of "Constraints in the Apple manufacturing facilities"... whatever that means, sounds like lazy bs to me (from the Israeli re-seller side, of course). On purchase the estimate was 21 business days. That would be on 7/26... that's clearly not gonna happen. Also, while around the world the shipping estimate for the mbpr went down to 1-2 weeks, in Israel it actualy went up from 30 to 35 business days (that's seven (!!) weeks)... Feeling very miss treated over here...

Waiting here in Israel for my 2.3/16/256, ordered on 6/26 through EDU.
we don't have Apple here, only 'iDigital', who are the "premium re-seller" in Israel.
I have no way to check the status of my order, no way of knowing when it will arrive. They have no information, no idea where the computer is.

I called Apple yesterday asking if my shipping was going to come down at all from the original 3-4 week estimate since the store now reflects 1-2 weeks (ordered 7/6, 2.3/16/256) and they said the best they could do was bump me to expedited shipping. I mentioned that some people I know (you guys on this thread) have ordered after mine and have shipped. The rep on the phone told me if he had an order number to look at and confirm they could "do something".
Anyone have any idea what that would be? Or anyone have any order numbers that have shipped after 7/6?
The "do something" is probably a free SuperDrive or some other accessory from their store. I called yesterday as well, and got similar answers. When I first ordered mine on 7/11 the shipping time was 3-4 weeks. A day later shipping times in the store dropped to 2-3 weeks, a day after that my shipping time moved to 2-3. Now that the store has moved to 1-2 weeks, my order is stuck at 2-3 weeks. I was able to get expedited shipping and the rep did say the previous orders should ship first. I am still very confused as to why we aren't seeing updated shipping times on our orders though.

what is your delivery date on the apple website when you originally ordered. I tend to find that these date ranges are pretty much spot on minus 1 day.
Wont get edu discount, wont get warrenty + applecare (unless I send it each time to the states...), wont get Hebrew back lit keyboard, will pay out of my ass in Customs tax.
And even with all that, I'm thinking about it, just so I can have a friggen computer for work already....
The general consensus is that ML will be released on the 25th of July so it does stand to reason that the rMBPs with arrival times after the 25th may have been delayed to have ML installed on them. Not likely but the possibility is there. My own guess would be that these rMBPs will still have Lion installed and that we will still need to use the Up To Date program to get ML when released.
Ordered 2.6/16/512 on July 4th and STILL waiting. I already bought the expeditied shipping though. Wonder if it's worth calling Apple about.
I'm really doubtful that they would be holding laptops to install ML on. It probably still has Lion and the factory is just being stupid, so we'll have to upgrade. I'll bet we won't see an updated OS until weeks after its release IMO.

Yeah I have a hard time thinking they would hold laptops back just to do a ~10 min flash of ML to the drive
Personally, I would rather get my laptop sooner, and just update the OS to ML myself. It's not like it's that hard of a thing to wait for.
Plus, I'd like to be able to compare how the rMBP runs on Lion and ML.

Ordered on day one, only to later cancel once I found out about the memory upgrade. Had a week long drama with Apple finance (wont be doing that again) and replaced an order on the 25/7 for a 2.7/16/512.

Same thing, my July 4th order 2.6/26/512 still stuck with no change in status, however my SuperDrive shipped on Saturday and I got a shipping charge. I only asked for expedited shipping on the Mac so not sure why I got that shipping charge when the drive shipped. I'm hoping I'll still get my new m next week.
Just checked from flight tracker and it looks like theres a flight left to Manchester NH on that time YAY its coming this way hope I can get it tomorrow or tuesday.

I ordered mine through the educational store (albeit in Canada) on July 12. Mine changed from 3-4 weeks to 2-3 weeks but the estimated shipping time stayed the same

Hey I think its they are completing the orders with in 28th of june to 3rd of July (thats what I saw from comments) you should be up by late this week or early following week.

This is what I like about FedEX. UPS never does that. Infact I got fed up of UPS as once I had a package at my local UPS sorting facility for 2 days and I called them and ask about it and they said delivery date is 2 days from now. And then I suggest can I come and pick it up and they said no they have to make the first delivery attempt. I dont know with that attitude how they have become No 1 courier service in the world. I vote for FedEX
Looks like it. I wonder why it wasn't hung up in customs. Maybe they did it in China before they left. Perhaps it'll show tomorrow.
Same for me. ordered through EDU and found that the 3-4 weeks never got lowered. Interesting theory.
