Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

I received mine today. 1 day ahead of the FedEx estimate on their page, 2 days ahead of the date in Apple's shipping email, and 3 days ahead of the earliest date in the original estimate from Apple.

Edit: I'm a dope, the cables were in the box, I just misplaced the black box w/ the documentation and cables.

Anyway, my time here is done! Good luck all.

Well guys, I fear that I am at the end of my time here. My rMbp arrived this morning and I am loving it.

You guys have been great company while waiting. I hope all of you get your orders very very soon. take care!

It actually just got delivered. The FedEx tracking page isn't updated yet. Still says "On the truck for delivery" but it's actually delivered.

The wait is over! Kinda, I'm at work and going home to grab it at lunch.

I fear that after waiting 3-4 weeks that I may be waiting longer, as my order is delayed due to "Shipment requires a Commercial Invoice"

is the site you track it from china, using the our delivery reference number in bridge point.

It's spent the weekend sat in a depot waiting for UPS to pick it up. UPS tracking number appeared last night.

My estimated delivery is tomorrow.
Had any movement on your UPS shipment?
Mine's done nothing all day - seems UPS is still waiting for the package to be delivered to them from some mysterious source.

On FlightAware I looked up flights leaving Narita today and found out that Memphis isn't a viable destination, but Anchorage is. The flight on that path was FedEx flight 28, so that had to be it. The take-off time of the flight and FedEx's posted time for In-Transit from Narita were the same, which confirms it.

Thanks - my order finally cleared customs, but using your method I don't see any viable northeastern options until tomorrow morning...Unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting mine until Wednesday.

I cant believe it, i should have posted sooner, lol

my order just went to preparing for shipment!

It says they will email me when it has shipped.

Now i couldn't help but save the $18 for expedited shipping, hopefully it wont take a week to get here.

Estimated delivery date has NOT changed, Aug 3-10

It's here and its absolutely amazing! You guys who are waiting, keep it up! It's worth every minute of waiting. Listening to Coldplay's Paradise on new speakers and loving it.

I know you guys are busy playing with your new toys, but do any of the machines delivered today have Mountain Lion installed?

Ordered my 2.6/16/512 on the 25th of July with an Educational Discount. Received my $100 App Store gift card today, as delivered with expedited shipping. My order is still processing and the computer is scheduled to arrive between the 6th and 13th of August. I can't wait!

My old 2007 MacBook Pro is getting me through these last couple days, and boy is it rough.
 
If you upgrade to an SSD your old macbook will come back to life again :)

I have a Lenovo X301 which is a wonderful computer in many ways (3lbs, got in on a radical discount, fantastic keyboard, decently high-res 16:10 screen, SSD), but the charger cord somehow was damaged and started producing sparks. Which led me to stop using that computer, and to call lenovo. Rather than having the safety people talk to me, they kept telling me that they will call you within 24 hours, and then I would get no call. Somehow, not realizing that I want to tell them about my issue, they have sent me two empty boxes to this point.

I'm going to do my best to just make it work for the next week, then all my computing issues will go away!

In my opinion, the warranty service for Lenovo (previously IBM) is excellent. The typically ship you out a box overnight, receive it the next day, fix it within 24 hours, and then ship it out overnight - all for free. Had you sent the box back when you first received it, I'm thinking you would have already had a new computer/cord back.

I completely agree, their services is the best by miles. The warranty department for all Thinkpads is still contracted to IBM in Atlanta, which is wonderful. The staff are all incredibly helpful and polite, and I have gotten parts less than 12 hours after I have requested them. The ability to replace things on the fly, rather than have to go to the store and wait or send it in is truly the best. However, in this instance, I really just wanted to talk to a person there because I wanted to explain the issue that I had, because I don't take sparking electronics lightly. What if the sparks hadn't happened when I was there? What if I had been asleep? The part of the cord that (upon inspection) seems damaged is the part that goes from the wall outlet to the power brick - the standard two wire cable thats compatible with almost every electronic out there (including Mac chargers). I have more of these in my house, so I don't need them to freak out and start sending me stuff, I just wanted to alert someone there of my issue. But top marks to the IBM staff there, they are truly the best.
