Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

On FedEx vehicle for delivery!!!!

Ordered 7/11 - est del time Aug 2
Shipped 7/26 - est arrival time 7/31

For those keeping track, my laptop is being delivered about 3 days earlier than the date listed on my order page from apple

The other rMBP I ordered didn't make the cut-off on Friday, so I presume it's flying into Memphis right now? I hope it gets to the east coast today so it'll be delivered as well, tomorrow morning.

Interesting, mine also shipped on the 27th and went through customs at 11:36am on the 29th...I haven't seen any movement as of yet, and I live in MA. When did your tracking update? I'm hoping to get mine tomorrow, although mine has an ETA of Wednesday.

What do you mean? When did mine leave Memphis? 3:05pm yesterday, looking at my tracking sheet. Or when was I informed that it had been delivered to my home? 9:31am +/-1 minute.

My other order is doing insane things:

Why would it go to Japan? I'm guessing they really did scan it through Narita at 10:28PM (time in Japan right now is 10:53PM, i.e. they scanned it through about 25 minutes ago) Damn. I might not see this one clear through Memphis tonight and get to the east coast for delivery tomorrow. Oh well...

EDITED TO ADD: Bloody hell! They put in on the stupid Anchorage bound flight: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX28
Great, just great. That thing will probably get here Thursday. Anchorage to Memphis is a whole other day.

I'm assuming ours were on the same flight out of China, and they arrived in clearance at the same time. I'm just curious as to why yours is already at your house, and mine is still in customs? Perhaps my tracking information has yet to be updated, and that it is in fact closer than it says? Thanks for your help.

No idea why your package went to Japan...

Also, what was your original estimated delivery date per FEDEX on the first package?

I would really presume that yours in in fact closer to you than they show. They don't seem to update tracking consistently.

The original delivery dates per FedEx were Aug. 1st by 10:30am for both. So one made it 2 days sooner. The one one might get here a day early.


P.S.: For anyone interested, Apple's estimated delivery for both was Aug. 2 - Aug. 8. I ordered both at the same time on the 13th of July.

Thanks for the update - mine was Aug. 2-8 from Apple and Aug. 1st from Fedex. For anyone interested, I'll post when my tracking updates.

That's normal. There are a lot of customs stops on the way out of China.

Ouch, I guess I should be thankful that my other rMBP that was picked up around the same time has at least left Japan and is en route to Alaska. I'd be kicking myself if that damn thing was still in China three days after it got picked up.

what was your fedex estimated delivery date? Did you pay for expedited shipping?
 
Mine just landed at the local FedEx facility. I called to see if I could go pick it up but they said that it's still in a cargo container and won't be sorted for a while. Told me I have to wait until tomorrow.

The torture!
 
FedEx just called me since I put in a request to have it held at a facility here where I live. Even though my order is saying it's still in Alaska with a delivery date of August 1, the lady told me it will be here tomorrow. :):D:apple::D:)

Alaska is fine. Once it clears US customs (which can sometimes be annoyingly long), Fedex tends to do an amazing job bouncing it around the US for delivery.

Ordered 2.6/16/512 on July 4th, shipped on 7/25, arriving on 7/30 with one day spent in Memphis, TN for customs!

How long does it usually take for the order status bit on apple's site to update with a ups tracking code?

My rmbp order was 'shipped' last Friday - how do you ultimately track it so you can see its journey from china etc as the above posts indicate? I'm assuming I'm waiting for an extra code or something..

Horrendous wait guys ordered July 2nd and the estimated deliv date is August 3rd on apple's site fml - the worst part is I knew I was signing up for that wait when I ordered lol.. Not long to go now I hope ;)

Ordered a day later on 7/23. Seems like most people who ordered before the 20th already have their's shipped so hopefully ours have moved up the list of ones to be built.

Mine shipped on 24th, took four days to reach the UK :

is the site you track it from china, using the our delivery reference number in bridge point.

It's spent the weekend sat in a depot waiting for UPS to pick it up. UPS tracking number appeared last night.
