The machine is a beauty, none of the problems that I have seen reported. I am really impressed by FedEx's speed at delivering. It went from China to the MI in little more than a weekend. For all those waiting, I'd like to wish you good luck!

I have a Lenovo X301 which is a wonderful computer in many ways (3lbs, got in on a radical discount, fantastic keyboard, decently high-res 16:10 screen, SSD), but the charger cord somehow was damaged and started producing sparks. Which led me to stop using that computer, and to call lenovo. Rather than having the safety people talk to me, they kept telling me that they will call you within 24 hours, and then I would get no call. Somehow, not realizing that I want to tell them about my issue, they have sent me two empty boxes to this point.

I'm going to do my best to just make it work for the next week, then all my computing issues will go away!

My estimated delivery is tomorrow.
Had any movement on your UPS shipment?
Mine's done nothing all day - seems UPS is still waiting for the package to be delivered to them from some mysterious source.

Great. FedEx doesn't have any flights from Anchorage on Mondays, so my rMBP will be sitting 26 hours before flying on to bloody Memphis instead of closer to JFK or Newark. So yeah, it'll def. be a Wednesday delivery. So much for 2-3 days, eh?

Wow, I've been checking my delivery every 30 minutes since 8am this morning, I just read your post and checked again: my rMBP is in Tamworth!

what was your fedex estimated delivery date? Did you pay for expedited shipping?

No I did not pay for expedited shipping. Fedex said Wednesday.


However, fedex just issued a delivery exception saying that no one was home, they did not leave a door tag and they were not here. I have been watching like a hawk.

I called fedex and complained they are "checking"

Aggghhhh! I just got my fourth RMBP today and this one still has the damn yellow tint + screen dimness. First two were Samsung LCDs with pink tints, third was LG/Sharp with the yellow tint and dimness.

I am done exchanging. I'll wait a few months for when Apple stores get replacement parts, then bring it in and have them swap out the screen. I'll make sure they choose a Samsung LCD (if even possible) because I'd rather have a pink tint than a yellow and dimness.

This is frustrating.
