The CK205 Flights is flying over Russia atm. The CK206 is in Estonia I think. Its weird since the flight is booked, and is flying in lika 12 hours from Shanghai, but it Cant make if from Amsterdam and back to china in that time.

I keep getting "UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later" when I try tracking the numbers from MacMall. Does anyone know what I might do?

If it just shipped, it takes a day or two for the tracking number to work. Don't worry as the package is still moving through the UPS system.


My computer is excited to see me and is running towards me. Seems I will get it before Thursday. It left Anchorage And arrived this morning in New Jersey. From there to New York is about a day so I might get it tomorrow!

I’ve looked back over the posts in this thread for the last several Sundays and have come to this conclusion:
There is zero activity on Sundays in Shanghai. Accounting for the time difference, I didn’t see any instances of “preparing to shipped”, or “shipped”. I can only assume that the assembly line is shut down on Sundays.

Same for FedEx; No “picked up”, “left FedEx origin facility” or “in transit”. Nor does FedEx have flights that leave Shanghai for Memphis on Sunday.

Things start to change on Sunday evening [US time]. These two posts from Sunday July 15 @ 7:30PM [US Central time] equate to 8:30AM Monday Shanghai time.

Thanks for the investigation! I was wondering the same thing today, and figured there wouldn't be any movement until 8 or 9 at night central time. Ordered on 8/1 and crossing my fingers it'll get shipping either tonight or tomorrow.

I'm in the same time zone as shanghai. I got a "preparing" at about mid-day on a Sat, and a "shipped" status about 8-9 hrs later, ie, 9-10pm on a Sat night.

For the next 25 hrs or so, DHL has no idea about my tracking number? This is incrediclous!

If factories work 24x7 non-stop to churn out goods, but your courier works only 5.5 days a week??

OMG that is so funny. I ordered a base 2.3/8/256 on 7/19 [standard shipping] and it was on its way when the new BTO's were announced. After reading the forums, I had second thoughts about the original config and placed another order for a 2.6/16/256 on 8/1 [expedited shipping]. My first one will be delivered tomorrow and I will take that back to the Apple Store unopened and hopefully receive the new one on Friday. Hopefully.

Yea, thing is...my original order was still in the processing phases when I asked to upgrade. The original would have arrived between Aug 9 - 16. However, when I upgraded they ended up cancelling my existing order and reordering the config I wanted, which placed me back at the end of the line. So they upgraded my new order to next day shipping. I'll probably receive this one sooner than I would my original order haha!

Actually that's interesting. I didn't realize Next Day shipping was an option even if you go through customer service. But hey, good for you. It will be interesting to see how fast you get it.

Does anyone know know if it will deliver tomorrow or will it get caught up in a few more stops? Fedex express predicted Tuesday but some come a day early.

I ordered my Macbook Pro with Retina Display 2.6 Ghz, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD on August 1st. It changed from "Processing" to "Preparing for Shipment" today (the 5th) a couple hours ago. I am wondering how long this stage has lasted for people who already have their new Mac's. I got the expidited 2-3 business day shipping, and they estimate August 14-16. They took the money out of my account a day ago. I am thinking that I might get it quicker than anticipated if it is already on the next stage.

I only see standard and expedited shipping as options through apple.com, and I would suspect the same is true through an apple rep. I think the only reason I received next day shipping was because they messed up my order.

What was the config? Guessing it was base 2.3/8/256 or 2.6/8/512? They seem to have those readily available at this point.

Earlier I posted a theory that everything is shut down in Shanghai on Sunday. Your post indicating that it changed a couple of hours ago would make it about 4AM Monday Shanghai time.

This is THE FASTEST ordering to delivery in this entire thread. You ordered on Thursday and it will be delivered Monday? 4 days from order to doorstep? And it sat around all day Sunday? Wow, Unbelievable.

If you say it departed Memphis for your city yesterday. it WILL be delivered tomorrow [Monday]. The only real roadblock in Memphis is a customs clearance delay but you have apparently bypassed that.
