Yeah no ****. Every laptop ordered on or possibly even before July 25 will have it.
My specs are 2.6/16/512 and I live currently in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Well can't say much, I guess i'll have to wait and see what happens.
I doubt its one that someone shipped back since they just allowed those options on the 1st. Maybe they pre built a number of them anticipating the new configuration options.
Oh I should add that the (base model) rMBP that I ordered yesterday from MacMall shipped from stock within a couple of hours of ordering (which happened at night, anyhow). Might be worth considering for someone who's impatient and isn't getting something BTO.

I ordered a 2.6/16/512 configured Retina MBP on Friday 8/3 at 00:30 EST (tax-free). My Superdrive and Promotional gift card were both shipped in different shipments, coming from MOUNT JULIET, TN and MEMPHIS, TN. My rMBP is currently "Processing Items" which I'm assuming means they are actually manufacturing my computer based on the options I selected. I placed my order the day after the 2.6/517,768 options were added to the base rMBP configuration, and one day after the shipping was reported to drop from 1-2 weeks to 5-7 days. I think it's safe to say that the supply of these new machines is slowly catching up with the demand. The Superdrive and Card should arrive Aug 7. I'm not sure if they shipped the items separately because I choose the "Expedited Shipping" option. Personally, I think it's rather pointless to ship the gift card and Superdrive in separate shipments before the computer. What's more frustrating is that a signature is required for both shipments. Since I probably won't be home that I guess I will be picking them both up from the FedEx facility in town. The rMBP will most likely be shipped from China rather than Tennessee. I live in South Carolina. Hopefully it will report "Preparing for Shipment" on Monday and shipped 2-3 business days as expected for an arrival this week. Needless to say, I'm very excited about the new computer. I'll report back as the status of my order changes this week.

Any Swedish orders here? Mine was delivered from China to Amsterdam and now it's sitting in Apple merging facility somewhere in Netherlands I think. Order status was just updated to "Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date", so I'm guessing it will be picked up by a carrier on Monday. Which carrier Apple uses for orders to Sweden and how long you think it'll take to get to me?
When did you order yours and when did it come to Amsterdam? Im from Sweden and mine is going to get to Amsterdam 22:00 on Monday.
Ordered my rMBP 2.6/16/256 on Aug 01 at around 5:30pm Est and it also changed to preparing for shipment. Wow that was fast. It would be nice to get it by next weekend (Toronto). Regular shipping BTW.

Same for me^ Anyone know how long it will take to come to New York City? Estimated arrival on Thursday but I've heard some people get quicker.

Not likely. I paid for two day shipping and mine was in Anchorage for over 24 hours.
Mine was estimated to come on a Wednesday to Maryland, but it ended up arrive that Monday. I did pay for the expedited shipping though.

. It's totally worth the wait!!!well cutoff means that fedex got it after todays flight, the exception is usualy just customs or flight canceled and rescheduled or something they dont have a message for
Quick question, when did you guys get charged when BTO? I haven't been charged the two grand yet, just the shipping and the $100 fee for something...
I keep getting "UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later" when I try tracking the numbers from MacMall. Does anyone know what I might do?
