Does anyone know if FedEx tries to deliver to your home once even if you requested a hold at at FedEx faculty of your choosing? Also does anyone know if a someone other than the person who's name is on the box can go to the facility and pick it up (and sign as apple requires) on behalf of the person it was shipped to (such as a family member)?

If you're lucky you can drive out to the depot they might be open, and you can pick it up from there.
Yeah.... Today changed to "prepared for shipment. Ordered the 16th of July.

We look at our ship date on fedex's website and see if it matches FDX28 or FDX90 better and assume we are right

Ordered 23rd (estimated 6th-13th), shipped 2nd, it's currently on this flight to London. Estimated delivery is 7th.

Ordered around noon eastern on 8/1 got an email at 8am eastern today that it shipped.

Mine shipped exactly on the last day of the second week.
Went from preparing for shipment to shipped within 8 hours, don't worry.
That's the impatience talking.

What are yours specs, where did you order it from and where do you live?
I admit it's impatience talking but I can't understand why some get theirs first while others wait long to get one!
2,6/8/512GB Are my specs, and I live in the netherlands. Well for starters I know for a fact that people in the united states get their models first, because that's Apple's market. All other countries depend on the demand for that specific country/continent.
