thats weird. mine was ordered on the 25th and has MLJust got my rMBP and it came with lion

MacBook pro R 2.6, 16gb Order
Ordered Macbook Pro 2.6 (16gb) on 18th Jul, still don't know when it will arrive, being told the 9th Aug at the latest but no confirmation details yet! Also Apple providing me with a 'tracker code' for the delivery company which is near useless as a) it only becomes live when the dispatch company has the order (mine was dipatched 6 days ago according to the site) b) You dont really know when it may get delivered and therfore have no idea when the tracking code goes live. Not sure if I should have got my crystal ball before the MBP r arrived so I known when I need to take the day off work to get it?
Also rang this evening and was told even though it was dispatched 6 days ago it does not come with ML Op system.....begs the question why not? This is my first Mac and I have to say so far I am not impressed with the information or service from Apple. I just hope the MBP r will be worth it if/when I ever get it. But I am getting the appears to be a typical Apple response - 'I am so sorry for that'.......... will wait with intrepidation and fingers crossed as I go on holiday for just over 2 weeks on Friday so I want my new toy now!!!....lol

For people who ordered their MacBook Pro retina and it shipped.
How long did it say on processing because it's been 3 buisness days and it's still on processing while the SuperDrive and MagSafe to MagSafe 2 already shipped!

I've got the same configuration. Ordered mine on 8/3. My order says "Ships in 5-7 days... via 2-3 shipping" This means It takes them 5-7 to process the order and bill you and then 2-3 days to ship and deliver to your house. I'm assuming the "shipping" (2-3 days) is accurate, however, I'm hoping the "Ships in" (5-7) days will be earlier than expected. If I get it this week, I'd be happy as crap! Just check your order again, it will tell you.
Yeah, I wonder if the giftcard is whats going to delay my delivery. My original shipment status says 13th of august, but that would be awfull!
I didn't buy the 2-3 day shipping since I figure its not worth it since I am going on vacation after tomorrow. I really want it to ship by Aug.11th or 12th since it takes 7 days (yes thats sucks everytime i order online) for my work's post office to get the package and send it to my area which I hope to be there when I come back at the 20th.
Apples shipping are always too early than the date, I recieved some packages I ordered 2 days ago!
Congrats mate, mine has been delayed 3 times today (Clearance Delay?) any idea what that means?

OH YEAH! finally received mine yesterday but i wasnt home the entire day! just unboxed it today! 
My g/f ordered a 2.3/8/512 rMBP on 8/3 at 12:30pm CST. It just went into "preparing for shipment" from "processing" about an hour ago. In y'alls experience, how long from this point do we see a tracking number?
It typically ships the next day after hitting the "preparing for shipment" stage. When it actually ships, you may or may not already have a tracking number that is active with updates on it. If you do not have any tracking, give it another 24 hours and you should have it (excluding weekends most likely.)
sweet! I ordered a 2.6/16/512 on 8/3 at 00:30 EST. Still no change in my order status. Hope tomorrow will bring good news!

Just got my rMBP today! Originally ordered on July 23. Standard Shipping. 1-2 week build period. 16gb/2.6ghz/512gb

Lion. It's the best macbook pro I have ever gotten.
I've only ever had one other macbook pro (besides my 2010 iMac), the 2009 13 inch base model. The dictation is extremely accurate and really responsive. It's completely silent. I've only heard the fans once when it was updating to lion and installing the smc update afterwards. The only issue I am having is trying to get the iLife apps to update. For some reason it keeps saying that the updates are for another apple id account but I have only put one id in. The app updates should be for the current id since they came pre-installed. I also had an issue registering it through the automated, first turn on screen. I put in all my information but said "not now" when asked if I wanted to send it because I didn't have wifi at the time. Now that I have wifi, I can't find the file that it said it would create in my home directory which when clicked would send the registration stuff. So as of now I am not sure if it is registered and I think that it not being resitered is causing my issues with the iLife apps. I'll be calling my represenative tonight to see if she can explain the problems and get them fixed.
Besides those two issues, it is awesome!

Posted yesterday around 8PM CDT that I was officially charged by apple for my new rMBP. Well, the status JUST changed to preparing for shipment (approximately 27 hours later)! Was fortunate to be upgraded to next day shipping due to an issue when I decided to upgrade to the 2.6GHz cpu after I had placed my initial order.
Ordered the 2.6GHz / 16GB / 256GB config on 8/1 around 7:30PM CDT.

Same here I ordered mine on 8/3 as well! Around 5pm EST. Out of curiosity which part of the world are you from? ( Toronto here) I'm just so excited for my first Apple purchase LOL
I'm from Austin, Texas. I didn't realize my accent crept into my 'net lingo.
I just checked a few minutes ago, and I got notification that is was shipped!! It says it left Shanghai with an estimated delivery date of Monday.
does anyone think I could possibly get it by Friday? Does FedEx deliver on Saturday?
