I called to try to change my standard but it was too late :(:(:(

I'm sorry:/. I had expedited on there from the beginning so when I called to ask when it would ship they apologized for the delay and refunded my $23 but kept the expedited on there.

First Macbook - is this normal?!?!

Hi everyone,

This is my first time here so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place.

I ordered a rMBP on 27/7 and it finally arrived today! After over 2 and a half weeks which felt like eternity!

However, there's one issue that stands out to me - the trackpad appears very much lower on the left hand corner compared to the right hand side, which appears flush with the unibody. This is my very first mac so I have no idea if this is normal?!?!?!

If anyone would be able to help me out I would greatly appreciate it, or please point me in the direction of who/where someone can!

Thank you ever so much! Best wishes for everyone else receiving their MacBooks soon!

It definitely is not normal and I suggest you take it to your nearest Apple Store Genius as soon as possible. You definitely did have a longer than usual wait time, but don't let that get in the way of dealing with the hardware defect right away. Best of luck!

Finally i unpacked my rMBP. It is a LP154WT1-SJA1 screen which is LG.

I see no problems so far, just a little bit darker than my late 2010 MBA.

I have a question: the battery has 5 cycles on it, is it normal with the rMBPs? I had 2 MBAs and 3 MBPs which always came out as "0" counts.

Other that I see no problem with my new rMBP, hopefully i won't see anything in the future!

TIA!

Where is mine!

Ordered mine on 1st Aug, chased them and on 10th told shipped, got email on 13th saying now left apple.... Would like to know if that's just then or 3 days before when said shipped!!!.... Now who knows where it is, projected del is 17th or before.

So slow :(

Delivery note still not updated with courier or time.

Thank you very much for enlightening me on the subject!! It sucks majorly as that appears to be the only problem! Other than that, trackpads working fine, screen is LG but perfect! No burn in or anything like that!

Mine left FedEx origin facility at 4:30pm today. Does anyone have any comments on how long it'll take for FedEx to show updates and/or how long it'll be until it reaches anchorage or wherever?

I got my rMBP this week. but for some reason never received $100 iTunes gift card. So i called customer service 2 days back to find out status. I was told they will cancel it and reissue an another one. just got an email this morning that they cancelled my iTunes card and will be returning $100 to my credit card. is this normal ?.

Not that i don't like, i was planning to sell my iTunes card anyway.

I'm just wondering. Why not purchase at the store?

Well for many of us receiving ours soon, we ordered ours near the beginning of the month when in-store inventory was zilch. Nowadays, it might make more sense to buy in-store if you simply want one of the standard configurations as Apple seems to have more of them in stock these days. If you're gunning for a custom build though, online is the only viable option.

As well, many forumers have commented that Apple upgrades you to expedited shipping for free if you simply call them about it.

My Mac is still in prague to merge with gift card... since 7 hours

Hopefully I'll get it until friday.
