They don't update the estimate delivery times, since they are only estimates and who knows, what if the delivery truck has a flat or accident?

They don't update the delivery time, but they DO update it to say it's on the truck. Who wants to miss a delivery, after all.

Well... my order has been stuck at preparing for shipment for almost 36 hours. How long does it normally take?

They don't update the estimate delivery times, since they are only estimates and who knows, what if the delivery truck has a flat or accident? Then you complain they missed their ETA. They rather just show up at your door early and surprise you. Little do they know, we are tracking (stalking) them, so we won't be surpised when they show up. We'll be tapping our feet saying "thank you, right on time!".

Tomorrow mornng :)

Well I have seen fedex and UPS just sit on shipments at my local hub for multiple days before and not deliver it because they had X number of days to deliver it (in this case probably 3 business days) so this wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened.

Has ANYONE had their order Move from processing w/ "ships 2-3 weeks" ?

Not that I've seen. I'm in that group too and am curious to see when they do. I'm obsessive-compulsively checking my order status waiting for updates but I'm expecting it to change sometime in the middle of this week. Maybe late Tuesday to early Wednesday timeframe.

What was the timeframe before 2-3 week? 6-10 days? Have these guys seen any activity? If theirs have started shipping there's a good chance the 2-3 week guys will see ours start shipping by the end of the week.

Same here. Praying for delivery Friday.

2.3GHz, 8GB, 256GB delivers tomorrow before 10:30AM. Picked up ~$400 of accessories from the apple store today. College is gonna be great!

Right but that's when you are low on the priority list. Apple pays for really good service, my deliveries are guaranteed before noon, not anytime in the day. Idon't know how high priority we are, but its certainly not the bottom of the line.

Nope, hasn't budged. I ordered maybe 3 hours after the store opened back up. Status is still "processing" and showing a delivery estimate of Jul 9 - Jul 20. I updated my shipping also.

My unit is a 2.7, 16GB, 768GB. Not sure if it is the 768 ssd or the 2.7 that pushed it out so far, or maybe the combo of both.

Pray tell what accesories couldnt you live without ?

When you work your ass off in highschool and graduate in 3 years instead of four, and then have a year and a half to work in a fast food restaurant full time.. I am finally rewarding myself with my first purchase of something "special" pretty much ever. Have boat loads of money still left for college too! I'm a happy camper

It's the SSD. I know a few people that received their 2.7/16/512 units, but haven't seen anyone with any combination of upgrades that includes the 768 drive.

Shoot, I'm in the same time frame as you (placed my order at the same time also) and mine is still processing. Base model here.

So you got pushed up a year in school to "further" yourself only to work fast food for a year??????

I'm a light user honest, I never went over 3 gigs of ram in my old 2010 13" MBP. And so I chose to go on the regular side of things and put the extra money into some accessories.

Finally got a laptop stand
Finally got the bluetooth keyboard and mouse
Finally got an external hard drive
Also picked up some cables/adapters
Also an external optical disk drive
And a battery charger doo-dad ;)

I'm a very excited 18 year old hah! Dealing with Wendy's customers for decades it feels like is finally paying off!

They're probably so special, its made to order:D

or theyre just havent expected that much orders for the SSD and is low on stock.

I ordered on the 12th, 2.6ghz, 768gb ssd, 16gb ram, received a delivery estimate of 2nd to 6th July. Haven't budged from "still processing" yet. I'm in Australia btw.

Do you always judge perfect strangers this harshly or just when your behind a screen anonymously?

Maybe he worked for a year and half so he could actually afford to pay for college?

There were some technicalities that I was unable to overcome regarding starting college after graduating. I moved states and lost residency so my first SEMESTER was looking at a cool $25K. Not acceptable so, waiting a uear by working, saving a ton of money and overall a win win situation.

Congrats on the hard work and the purchases! I'm in the same boat as you, I have a very old Macbook (2006; Core Duo 2.0ghz, 2gb of ram maxed). I DJ with this thing and do audio recording in logic 8 tracks at a time....it's chugging a long just fine. This new MBP, even at the base configuration, is going to chrew through everything I do like it's nothing.

Hah don't give him grief, if I wouldn't have moved I would have gone right into college, with loans and bleh. I hate loans.

This working will have my first year paid off when I start so I'll be able to pay my second year off while in school my first year hopefully ending out with very little <$10K in loans ;)
