I just hope it's a case of FedEx not updating their tracking information.

yea, i really hope that's the case too, i even cancelled my dental appointment so i can wait for the package tomorrow morning!

Seriously, wtf! I expected it to be in Memphis by now. They still have a delivery date of June 20th for me in VA. Not sure if it will actually make it, given that I don't see any flights out of Anchorage that it could be on!

i thought it left yesterday on that fedex flight to memphis, but never got updated...

I didn't mean to make the 2-3 week people not feel welcome. Just putting it in perspective. Yes, the 7-10 days are going out early buy there are still some of us still waiting. I bet 2-3 weeks will be earliest this Friday to ship. I really need mine to ship tomorrow or Thursday so I get it before I travel next Friday.

Yeah I wanted mine before Saturday, I am going on a biz trip to LA. That definitely isn't happening.

I don't think we're being that obnoxious. I think the 3-4 week-ers are being more impatient.

Considering that many 7-10 day shipments have occurred LESS THAN 7 business days since ordering, we have reason to believe ours may ship or at least change status this week as well.
My 7-10 day order for the Retina MBP just changed to shipped, which is 6 days if you don't count the 11th :)

6 more business days to wait for my initial expected delivery date :(

I ordered mine around 1AM PDT the night of the announcement

15in MacBook Pro with Retina Display
2.6Ghz / 16GB / 512GB SSD

Ships: 2 - 3 Weeks
Delivers Jul 3 - Jul 10 via Standard Shipping

Can't wait!

It is strange since they reported it being released yesterday and there is still no update. I wonder if there is something going on with the tracking. It may have not been scanned correctly, or it could be on the ground!

A call might not hurt. I might consider calling if it is not updated by tomorrow morning.

Now reading over these posts, does even paying for expedited shipping (the additional $15) make any difference at all? It seems that everything is sent the same speed regardless if a person paid for expedited shipping.

I'm in the 2-3 Week group as well, still awaiting.

My debit card has been charged, but online status still says "processing". Anyone in the same situation?

My understanding from talking to the Apple rep is that they're all shipping the same expedited manner. My order did not even give me the option ot upgrade, nor did the rep give me the upgrade option that I've seen others pay $15 for the privilege. It seems as if they're all coming "expedited" regardless of what the shipping method shows (at least for USA customers)

I talked to an Apple Sales Rep, and I was told that I'm already getting the fastest shipping possible with my Standard Shipping. I'm in California, so that might be why. I think a lot of the shipments are going from China to Alaska to California for distribution. You could make a guess that expedited shipping may help out if you are on the East Coast, but can't say for sure.

Well, I ordered mine on the 14th... Three days after it was anounced, I'm honestly shocked that its an expected Delivery of the 13th-19th of next month.

Is there really this much demand, every time? Either way the wait will be fun. Never had a Mac before, I was forced to use one back in school, running OS9, worst computer I've ever used and I hated every moment... but I've had good luck with the iphone and ipad so this will go well... Worst comes to worst install windows, haha.

For me the 15$ usually does make a difference. Because of where I live, if I go regular like I did for my ipad3, Apple often ships UPS and that goes ground from Edmonton to Whitehorse so takes an extra 1-2 days on the truck. FedEx goes air all the way so for me I'm glad I paid the extra. Still no movement on my 7-10 day order.

My original delivery date was July 2-9, but I called about an issue with the invoice with the gift card and the customer service rep bumped me to the "Expedited" option which resulted in a 3-day earlier date of June 29-July 6. So I think it does make a difference.

So it seems expedited shipping is not about the "shipping" part of it, but is actually putting you ahead of others in the same group, that may or may not ship out at the same time.

Interesting, would be nice to really understand what this means to apple, but i doubt the logical people at apple would even be able to share publically.

Got my standard RMBP today in Canada, Vancouver area. Ordered it right after the keynote. Sad day is that I'm shipping it back and re-ordering with 16gb Ram now that I know it's soldered and can't upgrade later. Must wait 3-4 more weeks. Sigh... so close yet so far.

Agreed, because people on here are certainly getting mixed messages. I wasn't even allowed the option to upgrade, and others have had their "upgrade" given to them, while still others are paying $15...for what, who knows!

Yeah, seems odd. I live in Southern California and paid for expedited shipping (first time for any apple product i've ordered) and I feel i'm throwing away my money. At least dividends are going to be given soon, so I don't feel as bad.

For those of you that have already received their orders (if any of you are still hanging around this thread), what time of the day did your package get delivered?

The estimated time for me of 10:30 AM would be great but if I won't be there for it if it shows up three hours later.

My 7-10 day changed to "prepared for shipment" about 2 hours ago. Ordered about 2 hours after keynote ended and am in Canada. I had a payment hiccup (fraud detection blocked it for a few hours), but things seem on track now, as I was billed yesterday.

If it ships tonight it would be 6 days after purchase date, so I guess thats better than 7-10, I was hoping to have it before the weekend though and even with expedited shipping I don't think it'll go that quick.

Good to see the 7-10 ones are shipping though.
