So, even now, people are only getting a 3-4 week estimated ship date. You think all the fanboys have ordered theirs? Or you think production is now ramping up more to meet demand? I ordered mine on Tuesday and the gift card and SuperDrive shipped out already. So, I'll be stuck with those two items for nearly 3-4 weeks! I hope things ship earlier... I wanna play Diablo 3 (and Max Payne and Assassin's Creed and the Sims!).

My order was shipped last Saturday (the actual flight left Shanghai early Sunday morning CEST). It flew from Shanghai to Frankfurt and was then transported to Prague. That took until Tuesday afternoon CEST, so four days altogether. Up intil that point, Apple didn't give any tracking information.

does this mean that my order might been shipped but it's showing processing?

Hey people, need help about billing. When I ordered the rMBP Apple 'reserved' the funds in my bank account. So basically when I checked my amount, the money for the mac had been deducted. I checked today and the money is back in the account, but the order still stands anyway. Is this what has happened to others? Were they just checking that the money was available and will charge me at dispatch?

Yeah, happened to me today! I won't spend them, because Apple will take them again ;)

Mine just arrived this morning in British Columbia, ordered right when the Canadian store came back up. Can't wait to get home from work didn't even have time to inbox it!

I ordered nearly 24 hours after you and my estimate is for the 4-10th of July. Strange.

It is not really strange but it is definitely annoying. Americans always get the first priority then Europeans. Asians get the shaft. My book should have already been shipped and I should have been in the 7-10 days group but instead they put me in the 2-4 weeks group.

As I stated earlier in the thread, there has been zero movement on online orders in the past two days because Apple is using the extra time they have from the 2-3 week timeframe to stock some of their Apple Stores and third party retailers.

They probably won't resume online orders until tomorrow or next week.

any 2-3 weekers see movement!!? this is not looking good at all..come on apple just give us the damn thing

You can see most people's status's

Anyone care to invent some extended time hibernation cells that we all can set our delivery date to but also pay us for our jobs? anyone? anyone?::D

I finally bit the bullet adn upgraded my RAM to 16 GB, I know I will not be using all those 16 as my current PC has 4 GB and I usually have 400-50 free .
The only reason I upgraded the RAM was to future proof my MBP as I think more and more "HD" apps would eat up more and more RAM and as someone sugested that mountain lion will utilize the extra RAM somehow. I donot want to regret my decision to stay with 8 gigs not to mention the resale value after 2-3 years.
My original delivery was meant for 4 - 10 july and its 20-26 july now. I am truly madly frustrated right now as waiting is thing I hate the most.

I ordered a 2.6ghz, 16gb, 768gb on the 11th at 2:19pm PT. No shipment yet, still shows estimate of Jun 29 - Jul 6 expedited.

I added my self to the spreadsheet BTW

It truly blows my mind how much money Apple is making off of these. They're sold out EVERYWHERE, and the cheapest one is $2199 haha.

Someone deleted my entry into the google doc. What is up with that. Anyway, I added it back!!

7-10 still nothing, BTO. June 27- July 3 estimate. Canada. 2.7, 16, 512GB

What am I doing wrong? Now I can see the people with 768 GB SSD in the spreadsheet but not my own or others.

It says fx
1
30
31
66
70
71
94
128
131
132 and so on but not all the others.

Got upgraded to 2 day shipping for free. When I talk with the representative, he told me that 3-4 weeks was a conservative estimate by apple, not an aggressive one.

Do you expect that those representatives really know about the situation in China? I just wonder because mostly the salesmen don't no anything about that, they just have to say this to calm the customers down.

The thing is i didn't complain at all, I just called and asked if they could upgrade me to have expedited shipping. I honestly was willing to pay the 15 for it. Didnt even ask about the status he just told me that.

And have it invented and shipped to all of us before 3-4 weeks please. :)

Someone applied a filter to the spreadsheet.

Do people REALLY need 16GB of RAM? And the 2.7GHz processor?
You should already know the answer to that question, but just in case you don't (or don't care): you are NOT me. Simple as that.
I can't see myself needing 16GB of RAM ever....
Since you cannot upgrade the RAM post-purchase, it's a matter of foresight. Sure you don't need 16GB RAM now. But in a few years? Or 24 hours because you're running Parallels/VMWare VMs alongside OS X...
And for the processor, that isn't the slow part of the system.
See above.

When I built my desktop I went for a C2D instead of C2Q because my thought process at the time said I didn't need more than a dual-core right now. I also went for a lesser version of the same motherboard model with less max ram support. Big mistake... a few years later I'm encoding DVDs through Windows' Handbrake and suddenly all those choices came back to haunt me.
