No, that wasnt the case with my rMBP. I received the shipping notification (without any tracking info, though) and my status was set to Shipped a good 24 hours before my rMBP actually left Shanghai. I just had no way to track it, but I knew it was shipping.

For the people that are in the 2-3 weeks 7/2/12 - 7/13/12 group, did apple already charged you for the order?
It looks like they charge you, but it's actually a "hold" on your account. They do this to make sure you have the funds when the order is complete. If you cancel your order, you won't be able to access the money for 3-5 days.. but it will be returned.

My CC invoices are sent out around the 15th, but the actual charge landed a few days ago - it was a "hold" authorization before that invoice date. Needless to say, I had to put some of my last week's purchases on debit (had only ~$210 left on CC credit limit) and missed out about 5k in loyalty points
Well they haven't done anything at all so far. Should I do something? Cause I want to get it as fast as possible. I am worried that I might have entered the wrong information.

still waiting to get an update from Amazon on rMBP. Ordered early 6/12 while still on 'pre-sale' (prior to 'out of stock') and still getting the 'not yet shipped.'
have heard of folks that ordered on 6/13 from Amazon getting theirs in already, so curious as to if there's a method to that madness.

Just got my order bumped up to expedited for $15. Lady said that the reason mine was taking longer is because I got it custom even though I have the completely base model on order. Might be because I added a thunderbolt to ethernet dongle to it I guess, regret not getting that after the fact now.
Oh well the shipping moved from July 5 to July 10 to July 4 to July 9 so I guess that's something lol
