I haven't been charged yet for my order.

Just checked bank and order status and nothing has changed yet.

Wish Apple would hurry up. The biggest company on the planet and we have to wait 3 weeks to get our hands on something that in tough ecconomic times you would have thought would be plentiful. Makes you wonder if these reforms in working conditions have slowed things down, bring back the whip!

You should probably rethink your life if you would encourage poor working conditions just so you can get your computer faster.
 
Not sure if this means anything but I just got my gift card which was originally scheduled to delivery 6/25. Just ordered my Retina on Monday and called the fine folks at Apple who bumped me to free 2-3 day shipping. New delivery date is Jul 13th but I am sincerely hoping it will either ship sooner or that I can track one down at retail. Any idea if Apple would charge me for the gift card if I cancelled my order online after finding a rMBP at retail hypothetically?

Don't worry I was only kidding. Just wish Tim Cook had done his sums better. How many times has apple been caught short over product launches. Surely you might think they could gamble on a few extra units just in case of demand. Have faith in your own product apple, it will sell!

I'm in the same boat. Ordered the same time. Card shipped the next day. SuperDrive went from "Processing" to "Preparing for Shipment" in 5 minutes - I couldn't back track and remove it from my order!

...but now that I think about it, I'll want to play Diablo 3 and that will require the SuperDrive. :)
 
Seems as through some of the people on the spreadsheet that are on the 2-3 week group have had there macbooks shipped. Can any of you guys prove that?
 
Just out of interest what date did the shipping change from 2-3 weeks to 3-4 weeks for the UK (or US just for a ball park figure) store?
 
Seems some 11th with 2-3 days have shipped so they should be going soon. I think the US orders are going faster and Canadian are shipping as they have enough orders to go to Canada?
 
A $15 temporary authorization for the expeditied shipping showed up on the card that was not there this morning. ( I didn't bother calling to get mine dropped ). This is looking good for 2-3 weeks Jun 29 - Jul 6.

You've already been charged for the gift card. They will charge you $100 for the gift card, and discount it off the charge for the computer. So the totals will match up, but it should have been split off into two transactions.

Ah got it. I was sligthly confused since the total is only showing $1,999 with my academic discount. Makes sense though.
 
Hey, please help me!!! I ordered this 11 days ago and I haven't gotten any news from apple at all. Its still processing the items. They didn't even charge my creditcard. What is going on? I have been checking my order like every 5 minutes for the last 11 days

Please help me. I beg of you. I cant stand this waiting anymore!!!
 
I posted last Saturday on here that I went into the store and they had none. I wanted to order online but 3-4 weeks was too much! Well.. I am so glad I waited because they had some in today and I got mine and this thing is a beast. :) I'm loving it! :D
 
So are the retail stores not getting resupplied at all or they just selling out? I almost wonder if they're hoarding their shipments for the weekend since that's when the heaviest foot traffic occurs.
