ok guys I am slowly but surely going to order all of the entries by estimated delivery time (I'm at work so I have to do this stealthy. feel free to assist me and I apologize for the blank cells feel free to delete those too as I do this.

A much more difficult task, but one that might be helpful is converting all the order times to a common time zone. Either way, I think this spreadsheet is great!

Good idea though, hope i'm wrong!

when i get home from work I will probably take them all and convert to one time zone and then be able to make an even more accurate prediction on the listen shipping date and sort the individual dates.

I agree, I don't get it. I paid almost 4gs for this. Should I call Apple?

As far as I have been told they can't do anything to move people up in line, aside from giving the 2-3 business shipping option which doesn't really do much in your case.

Seems like BS if you ordered on opening day and everyone else that did is chillin with their computers right now.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the 768gb hard drive and it's availability.

Ah, yeah maybe that is the reason.

Just Picked it UP !!

RMBP. Ordered June11. 2.3/8/256. 2-3 Week. Expedided shipping. June 28-July5. Still in Processing at 9:15 AM EDT. USA. I called the Apple store in West Farms Mall, Ct and she told me that they had gotten some in. The cops did not catch me doing 95 and I got to the store at 10:00Am, walked in and got the RMBP, basic model, as above. I cancelled my online order.

So my problem is that Apple has screwed the pre-order people out of more than a few days by shipping product directly to the stores instead of their customers. Way to go Apple.

Important: Guys if you can, please update your expected ship date to the new format. this will make my job easier because I am going to be able to make this document freaking sweet once we can convert this.

If only I could do that with 16GB of RAM.

Yeah, I see Apple's point in wanting some stock in store but they should try to respect the hardcore fans who knew about the keynote, watched the blogs, refreshed the store 100x till it went back online and then ordered right away. These are the people that buy tonnes of Apple stuff with every new release. I think getting 2.7GHz and/or 768GB HD is really holding up the order. I seem to be the only 7-10 day still waiting and anyone who went for the 768GB got a late 3-5week date. I'd be pissed if I'd ordered an Ultimate and the Ultimate versions start showing up in store as they are expected to be stocked eventually.

If you ask me I would consider this a fail on apples part. Keeping people waiting without any decent feedback except for 'Processing' is just bad business.

Man, they sure take their sweetass time in Shanghai. I would think it'd be in Anchorage now.

Not to mention that misleading/poor customer service where you get different stories from apple store reps. I feel like being lied to all the time when calling the apple store for availability. Honestly, I have stopped calling and will just wait for the shipment to arrive.
Disappointed.

Strange, I ordered my MBP in that configuration June 12th, ~8am. It was supposed to be a 2-3 week wait but it ended up shipping 2 days later and got here on Monday.

whoever that was helping me... you rock. OK now we are all sorted with the expected ship date

what universal time should we convert to? after we convert time, i can organize them by expected shipping date then time ordered. That would (in theory) put us in a line of when (remember: in theory) we should all go from processing to shipping

So according to the spreadsheet have any 2-3 or 3-4 weekers shipped yet?

Lets all take a deep breathe...

Guys, let's all just calm down here. We're all impatient little kids waiting for their toys. Apple hasn't lied to anybody here. They've clearly given a date to expect your shipment, and most if not all have received it ahead of time. There is a good reason you are waiting so long for this: the demand has been much more than apple expected for a $2200 laptop. Lets face it, a lot of us here are first time Mac users, including yours truly. Just step away from the OCD-ness of refreshing the pages and expecting it to change any minute now, because it will happen when it has to. They're not sitting in China smoking cigars rolled from the $100 bills of rMBP orders. They're making them as fast as they can, and there is no need to trash Apple's customer service or business practices.

I, myself, am on EDT but to my understanded GMT is the official world time so we should do that. Time to break out the converters. I will probably add a new column ( like we had before) to make sure we get this right and can double check

----------

sorry for so much posting but after you do this our document will be even better. everyone please fill in the new column GMT Time Zone. This will allow me to sort the entire document into a perfect line of when we should see our status changes.

Nothing to do with trashing apple or being OCD. I think they cocked up plain and simple. Supply < demand = supply shortage.
