I was going to order a 16-inch base config, but decided against it. I just ordered a pair of AirPods Gen 3, as my original order isn't arriving until Oct 29 - Nov 1.

Apple logistics never ceases to amaze me. What a wonderful experience - no site issues, no crashes, nothing. Tim Apple is a genius.

I can't order with apple card financing without cancelling my online order - does anyone know if funds free up immediately when you cancel online orders with the apple card? Might have to use another card.

Ordered for pickup today – whew, that was intense. When I snagged my APM on launch day, it showed available for pickup at about 7:00 central time, so although I woke up extra early this morning just in case it was sooner, my problem was that I had to leave for work at 7:00, and it would be too tight to go through the ordering process and still leave the house on time. So, instead I left the house a half hour early and brought my computer with me. Stopped off at a coffee shop when 7:00 neared, ordered, and now I'm continuing to work.

I did just this. Ordered for pick-up today, and before choosing the payment, cancelled my pre-order. As far as I can tell that cleared the Apple Card enough for the pick-up order to go through.

So looks like all the base models plus the following BTO are available:

14: M1 Max/64GB/2TB
16: M1 Max/64GB/4TB

In both colors! I was hoping they would have the truly "ultimate" models on hand, but I guess its a bit of a niche product for those who want >4TB of storage...

Wow… lots of configurations unavailable. The only way to get the M1 Max chip is to buy the 16-inch… stuck with 1TB/32GB at least in my large surrounding area.

No configs of the 14-inch with the Max chip, only the base configs.

I spoke a little too soon. Play with the configs a bunch, guys.

I snagged a 14-inch M1 Max with 64GB memory and 2TB, pretty much exactly what I wanted with extra memory to brag about. I just feel lucky enough to get that close.

Oh… and 2 polishing cloths!! I feel like I hit the lottery for pick up today!

My store opened for pick up tomorrow. It only had the standard configs available. So I ordered a 14 and a 16 mid-tier. Gotta check the weight in the store today. Is 16gb of ram enough for logic pro?

It usually takes up to 5 business days for it to be removed from the card.

Cancelled online orders do NOT clear immediately. Took mine about a day to clear.

Just ordered the 16 via Apple store app and picking up same day

I woke up at 4:50am Pacific, and immediately looked at the Apple Store app, not expecting anything yet. But lo and behold, they were in stock! I ordered exactly what I wanted for pickup in the Bay Area in California: 16" M1 Max with 32GB RAM, 1TB Storage, Space Gray. Today it will be mine!

Note, I couldn't order with financing, it would tell me "at least one item in your bag can't be bought with store pickup" or some such. I had to pay in full.
