You can walk into the store and do a trade in at the store, they will apply the credit to your pickup order if you want, you get the Apple gift card the moment you give them your trade in and they take it in the store

You don’t need to mail anything if you’re going into the store
Ok, but does that scenario apply to Apple Card payments where they deduct the trade in from the total balance and break that into 12 payments?

Sorry if I’m over complicating it, I just don’t want to select a wrong option in the AM when I place an order online for store pickup.

the way I do it for phones or watches is I simply order to collect at store. Then take my device with me t that store. Ask to trade it in and they discount it off the price of the new device by refunding the trade in value.

It is incredibly easy.

could they just refund the amount of the trade in to the card? we don't have the card in the UK so I don't know how that works

I got royally ****ed in the arse by Apple.... Ordered pickup only to get a call back from the Apple Store during the MIDDLE OF DRIVING to tell me that there was a "glitch" in the system and that I can't pickup my order and I have place a new order.

Sure no problem I guess, I cancel my order immediately to place a new order, only to find out that all the M1 Max is OUT OF STOCK for pick up and the earliest delivery is December..... Excuse my french but are you f**king kidding me. Never felt so disappointed and angry at Apple in a long time. ?

Does anyone know if the M1 Max will have more stock for pickup on the 2nd launch day (tomorrow) or do I actually have to wait until December for delivery now?

Did they already charge your card? If so, then you have a legit case on your hands for fraud, as you should not have to place another order and have funds drawn for that new order. First thing you should do is check to see if they did charge your card, and if they did, did they refund the charge. If there is no charge, then they did the right thing and you may have to reorder. I'd still run that up the flagpole, especially with any confirmation number you have and have them expedite your order. Their smeg up is not your fault, especially if you had paid for the product you never received.

BL.

I'm mock-ordering a 13" MBP for in-store pickup with trade-in just to familiarize myself with the process before tomorrow morning. It looks like a trade-in kit will be sent upon pickup at the store; I don't actually see an option to specify an in-store trade-in (which I'd prefer). I just asked Apple via chat and got no clear answers. Am I missing something? It would seem strange that the Apple Store Online and App will let you order a new Mac for in-store pickup, but NOT let you opt to complete your trade in-store as well.
I believe the reason that you don't see an option for in store trade in, is because there isn't an option to pick up your purchase in store yet. When I ordered my phone, I had done all the effort early, and put it in my bag. So when it came time & the option for in store pick up became available, I just purchase what was in my bag. When I got my phone the specialist did ask me if I had a phone to trade in, scanned it in, and told me I had said I would mail my trade in. This time I will be waiting to do all of that as the option for pickup becomes available, then see if 'in store' trade in becomes available.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t do the trade in first then deduct it from the cost of the machine, that’s what the site even does on its own when you order online so it’s probably the same in store, just remind them

Good morning everyone else that is up and waiting with me on the east coast. I will be sure to update my findings after I get my order through.

Picking up my 14” MacBook Pro 10/16/16 16GB 1TB right now at A-Mac Utrecht The Wall here in the Netherlands.

They had one model in stock for pickup in store. Ordered this morning via website and currently underway picking it up!

In Germany there seem to be a ton of MacBooks ready to pickup today. It's really crazy, every model is still available for pickup except the 16" with the biggest GPU!

With how often I’m checking, if someone at my local store snags one before me, they deserved it lol

If you are in Rome, Italy the Apple Via del Corso store had two 14" base models and three 16" base models available for in-store pickup this morning. I grabbed one of the 14" non-binned units.

Lol, wanted to pickup my macbook in germany but the order-system has a bug. It is not forwarding pickup-orders from apple.com to the store staff so they cant give out the macbooks. Could be fixed in a couple of hours…. Now waiting.

I hope this is not global someone in the UK said the same thing - that the orders haven’t shown up at the store yet.

How much time was it between you placing your order and the pick up? If orders go here live at 6 am - that’s still 4 hours until stores open here
