Haha. Fair enough. I want one pretty bad but for my lifestyle it was just too hard to explain the cost to my wife ;)
 
I use this backpack for school. It really protects my 15" MBP and has plenty of room for books. It's also quite cheap.
I combine that backpack with this sleeve. It's very expensive, but it's the only one I found that doesn't use a zipper. My friend got one with a zipper and his MBP got a dent after 2 weeks when he put his backpack down and the zipper pushed into the MBP.

Yeah and have her put a few pastel colored ones on Etsy, she will see middle aged women (the ones you see anchored to starbucks/ Peets) clamor all over those things...

Im looking into getting a case for my recent purchase but Im looking at some Hugo Boss ones as they look the nuts :)
 
I was wondering, I bought a great bag from swedish applestore. It has a slot for a 15" macbook pro specifically and its designed around it. There is not enough room for a big padded sleeve aswell, but I would still like some extra protection, even if its overkill.

Does anyone know of a really thin sleeve/folder in a low friction fabric, that doesnt look like something a colorblind or schoolboy/girl would use? :p It has to be really thin, not padded at all.

I have this sleeve, switched back to a Boog Vyper instead because for me it's too thin, but sounds perfect for what you're looking for.

Mine will probably pop up on the Marketplace soon :)

Are you sure you linked the right productbecause it doesnt look thin at all to me? Im looking for something similar to a plastic folder for a sheet of paper, except for a macbook. :D Fabric not important as long as its not too high friction.

It's as thin or thinner than the fleece pillowcases that Incase sells and calls sleeves, but made of an almost PVC type plastic with a soft lining. It barely fits on the machine, with a Speck case or similar you'd be pretty hard pressed to get it on at all it's that tight to the body of the machine.

Naa, it's probably a bit thicker than that. Zipper really isn't wider than the body of the MBP, but if you look at the pic of the Thule on on Apple's site, the recessed areas are snug to the body of the machine, but the raised areas stand off about 1/8". I'd say they make the MBP about 1/4" thicker than it is when all told. I think the one you posted may be thinner if it form fits to the body of the machine.

Yeah I've heard only great things about it, glad you love it. But its only because they don't make one for the macbook pro. Otherwise I would buy one as well as a nice canvas bag or messenger. :)
