How is the Speck see-thru green glossy case? I'm about to get my first Mac and want to keep it in perfect condition and ran across this case. Any advice or personal stories with it?

anybody consider getting matte/satin/rubberized cases? they feel really nice~ and the place i bought it from came with a free black sleeve :D

love love love the colors that the speck see-thru satin cases come in though~ specially the peacock green <3

and anybody use keyboard skins? because i like the standard black keyboard and all but sometimes having a colorful keyboard is awesome, and they totally save me when my dog comes over to drool :|

The satiny terra-cotta and green colour look much much much nicer in reality than they do on the website - can definitely recommend those. I'm not so fond of the shiny ones but haven't seen one for a while so that could just be prejudice.

Please take a look http://store.kerb.me

Some of cute sleeve you might love.

I use a black Speck SeeThru Satin case for my 13". I used to have the clear one but I didn't like how shiny it was and I thought it made my MacBook look cheap. I much prefer the black one because it covers a little dent I've got and as they say, out of sight, out of mind. :) I really like the feel of these satin ones too.

When I need to take my MacBook somewhere I use this wool sleeve that my mum kindly made me for my birthday. I love it, especially the little anchor buttons:

omg the wool bag your mom made is adorable! i wouldn't mind buying one for my mbp :) agh, i wish i was good with DIY stuff XD but i'm super clumsy, especially with needles and sewing machines ):

i have a matte black case like yours from wavetogo and you're right, the feel of matte is so much better than the glossy crystal ones. :p

Looks promising, wondering if you got any feedback from anyone on this?

I finally bit the bullet and bought this. Overall The feel is quite nice and gives a good grip. However it does not cover the black portion on the back of the macbook pro like other cases.

Finish could have been better. Not Bad for USD 18 if you want to save some money

my oakley laptop backpack since 2009 and my incase case. Oakley bags are heavy duty and looks rugged. Doesn't look like a laptop bag which I like, to fend off thieves! lol.

Ha. Cause I'm a little weird and love my http://www.iconhomeware.com.au/cookware to bascially match every thing in my house especially my MAC gear and becasue I've got all red I was checking out the red pots... lol. I'm so lame but I really want them. Yep, you guessed it I've got a my MAC stuff and tech stuff in red colors... Please don't be too harsh :p

Hey,

Just some good words about the Incase backpack from the heathered collection. Received it two days ago, really good quality and highly recommended. Loads of space (for my needs anyway), good protection inside and more than enough pockets. Worth every single penny.

Had the sleeve for my previous MacBook and recommended as well.

I started out with an Incase sleeve bought for $15 at TJ Maxx, but I really wanted to be able to use a strap so I upgraded to a Waterfield Sleeve with flap and D Rings.

Here's a photo from their website. Mine has a vertical flap since if my 15" MBP ever leaves home it'll probably be in a backpack for security on public transport. It's actually very comfortable to carry it as-is with the shoulder strap across my body. The materials & workmanship are at least as good as described by other purchasers - what sounded like it could be hype was actually an accurate description.

I really like this and I've been eyeing this on best buy and in apple stores. Maybe I'll wait for a sale.

I almost bought that case before deciding to go with the Waterfield sleeve. Look at the B&H Photo website - I saw it there in several color combinations for the 15" MBP at good discounts. Sometimes different colors are different prices.

Hi guys,

In three weeks time I'm going to start college.
I'm thinking about backpack for my Macbook Pro 13" and other things like books for college etc.

Can you recommend something stylish?
I don't want one of these travel backpack which is you know very big and uncomfortable.

Thanx

Thanks for the feedback. I tried an iPearl mCover off eBay, customer service was good but it made me realize I think I should look for a rubberized type of case so I returned it. I might try yours off Amazon to save some $$...

I was thinking of buying the Colcasac Sleeve for my cMBP but I have some second thoughts. I love the fact that it has velcro strap because I heard some horror stories about zipper sleeves. Also I quite like that the macbook goes in vertically instead of horizontally since I can check the battery meter or easily quick charge it. But the bad thing is that its not waterproof ( I am going to put in a bag with a thermos) and I heard that some of the Colcasacs shed lint. Does anyone that have it give me any more information? Also can anyone suggest other sleeves based on the needs I mentioned before? Thank you.
