I'm insanely pissed and dissappointed about this. If there isn't a new Macbook Pro by the end of the month, I'm just gonna say f-it and get the current one. It's good enough.
I think it's plausible if only because Apple has released something new every Tuesday since back in January. With the release of 10.5.2 yesterday and Aperture and TV 2 today, the only "expected" (and I use that word w/caution) items left are the MBP update and the iPhone SDK announcement.
If the event on the 26th is likely for the SDK, then what'll they do on the 19th?
Speaking of that event on the 26th to which so many of us are pinning our hopes and dreams, is there any further confirmation that it's even happening? Or are we stacking rumor on top of another?![]()
You aren't "expect"ing new displays...? They're *years* old! iMac, Mac Mini? And beyond that, Blu Ray support, 3G iPhone... I don't imagine they'll be bringing these out in addition with a new MBP and iPhone SDK every Tuesday from now on, but you should have them in mind![]()

I downloaded the Leopard update on my iMac yesterday. Tonight while doing the same on my 3 year old PowerBook G4 it was much different. After installing the laptop started 2 or maybe 3 times and I just new all my stuff just went into the "air". Finally when it started the last time it really seems much better and almost like a new laptop. Now I think that Leopard 10.5.2 was needed for several reasons. On another post I stated that before MacWorld that I just purchased a new Airport Extreme and was really happy with the new 802.11n and was all set. After the announcement of Time Capsule I returned the new airport ( within the 14 day grace period ). Ordered the Time Capsule and my order stated shipping by February 29th delivery by March 5th. Reading these forums I understand that there were several seeds for the 10.5.2 and think that has a relationship with the shipping of Time Capsule. Every tuesday there has been several updates released and the last and best will be the MacBook Pro with the colors that has been reported around on the Apple campus... black brushed aluminum, and many more fantastic goodies that Apple has for us faithful and alway complaining following!!

Theres Always Next Tuesday
What do ya'll think?
Well, the rumours that Thursday 14 February 2008 (tomorrow in US) will see the release of the new Macbook Pros could have some merit considering it is exactly 2 years after Apple released the Intel based Macbooks. Don't believe me refer to this url:

Would it would be unlike apple to throw a random birthday party?
Hey guys,
I'm a recent convert to Apple from Windows, and last month bought a Macbook Pro without knowing that an update was imminent. I was directed to this site by a friend following my purchase and was gutted to find out that I had bought an almost outdated model. An awesome computer, but nevertheless, an older model.
So, I went and refunded it. I had it for five measly days in total. Thankfully down here in Australia we don't have this "Restocking Fee" that you guys have been talking about, and considering I work at the place I bought the Macbook Pro from (a massive electronics retailer here) the refund was a smooth process.
I've been on here reading through these forums for hours every day since and just decided to make an account and to add myself to the list of frustrated people out there that are still waiting... Not to add, that whenever it is actually released, down here we're probably going to have to wait a little longer until they are actually shipped to us
I know that it'll be worth it but

If there are people that are actually returning their Macbook Pros because of an imminent update, then that is a good indication for Apple to hurry up and release this thing! I wonder if they read these forums.
I don't understand how they can get away with charging the same price for a machine that is 8 months old already. It would be a little bit more understandable if they decreased the price over time, obviously. I recommend to everyone that bought a Macbook Pro recently, to return it, it's kind of a waste of money anyway. You are paying the same price parts from 8 months ago, which have drastically decreased in price, it's robbery! I am sure they are waiting for steep decline in sales before they release the new one, because the more of these old ones they sale, the more revenue/profit they get.
Return them all, this will make them act quickly!
