Considering the latest article on build 9C31 being seeded, i could see the new MBPs being released this tuesday alongside 10.5.2. But then again, I'm kinda a mac noob so what do i know?

I guess you're right.

The multiplication of the builds seeded means that there's an effort to seed the 10.5.2 soon, before next Tuesday.

A Tuesday when the new Mbp will be out with the 10.5.2.:p

Best Buy site is updating...

I just entered bestbuy site and they are currently updating it, it says: "We're currently making updates to our Website to provide a better shopping experience for you. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back soon to shop our great selection of products! Check out the links below to learn about in-store specials and more."

Maybe this is the sign we were all looking for...MAYBE:rolleyes:

I doubt it... I'm just waiting for the glorious yellow sticky note to pop up on apple.com

BestBuy updating their website means the MacBook Pro is about to be released? I don't understand the link...

As someone in the creative professions (I'm a web/interactive designer), I don't see Apple losing interest in us as a group, but rather, I see them branching out and attempting to gain market share where they previously had none. And I say, more power to them. They might be lagging on this latest MBP update, but it's a rather harsh critique to say they've lost sight of the creative professionals as a whole based solely on that one product being a month behind its scheduled refresh.

Touche' (sp?). You're right. Ignore my stupidity. Just a heated moment of no patience I suppose. :(

Feb 12th MBP update

if you customize a MBP the estimated ship is 2-4 days instead of the usual 1-3 days. I can't wait to get my hands on a new MBP next week.
:D

Russet, I think you missed the original joke! No reason to be an ambivalent, antagonistic, agnostic, ass****!

No Txhil, I enjoyed the joke and felt it needed an appreciative repost which certainly is not being ambivalent. Antagonistic - only if you misunderstood that in fact my comment was supporting yours. Agnostic - no certainly not possible in Bali, I was suggesting that if you could talk to god you could find the answer we are all seeking. Ass - there aren't any of those in Bali, elsewhere maybe.

Did you hear about the dyslexic who asked "is there a dog?"

Next Tuesday is the launch date my friends. You see next Tuesday in the real world is, as everybody knows, pancake day. Apple are being very clever and are using this auspicious day to launch there latest range of laptops that are even thinner than the Macbook Air, in fact they are as thin as a,yes you gessed it, a pancake.

The name of this super beast is of course the MBP or MACBOOK PANCAKE!

Roll on next Tuesday.

I'm willing to bet anything...

What we'll see an updated MBP some Tuesday or even perhaps a Friday, sometime between now and MacWorld 2009 :D

I've been reading various rumor sites for quite some time and it always makes me laugh how wrapped up we all get in speculation and feeling betrayed when nothing much really seems to happen on our schedule rather than on Apple's.
An interesting sense of entitlement (whiny) we seem to have around it all.

I'll be the first to admit my frustration over it all and my own, "stupid Apple" sentiments. But really, its is after just a computer (ducks as the mob tries to throw things at my head). I have been waiting for about 6 months for something major to be released. Thankfully I can bum my roommates MBP whenever I want, or crank up the handle on my old Mini.

I shot down the urge to buy before Christmas, holding out for MWSF, then I've held out until Feb 5th (laying in the hospital post brain surgery) checking the online store with my iPhone only to be let down once again. And now I'll wait and wait until the new versions are release be it this Friday or next Tuesday or whenever. I will laugh at myself though, because if it does come out with that new keyboard from the MacBook or Air, I'll be scrambling to find one of the current models instead.

I'm really holding out for probable improved battery life and hopes that it won't get quite as hot on the bottom. The Air's track pad would be nice, but not the end all, be all for me. Thinner, why sure I'd love that. A better graphics card, who I am to say no? Blu-Ray, why yes, I'd love that too. The magnetic latch, ok, sure I'll take that too. But will we see all those things in the next release, probably not. And when it doesn't happen, you'll see another 700 postings complaining that the MBP of everyones dreams didn't come out and how jilted they feel by Apple for not making their wishes come true AND drop the price at the same time.

But hey, its all just my 2 cents worth of thought.

Hello everyone. So I ordered a MacBook Pro 2.2 15" on February 1st. Apple said it would ship between the 4th and 6th (I upgraded the HD). I called them last night because it was the end of day of the 6th and they said the order was fine but maybe taking longer because it was customized. I got to work and checked this morning and the ship date is February 11th-13th. Guess what that probably means?

That you're a n00b for ordering a MacBook Pro when they're going to be updated within the week? :p Sorry, I couldn't resist...

So J@ffa, obviously you think I should get the new one. I think I agree. What can I do now? Call them and cancel it and then order again once the new one comes out? Will they do that? I'd rather not get it next week, ship it back and then order again.

I called and spoke to a manager. The reason my order is delayed is because of Chinese New Year and the custom configured machines come from there. Anyone believe that?

I'd say that new ship date is definitely a good sign.

But I also 2nd the notion that ur NUTS for ordering one on feb 1! hahhah

HA! Agreed. I actually set up a return for them. Full refund and they pay for the shipping. If the new one comes out I will get it. I really hope it does.
