You're right. But if they ship the wrong one and charge her for it, then she's going to have to go through the hassle of returning it to get a refund and then waiting 3+ weeks for the next batch of MBPs to become available. Either that and she stops the order after it has been shipped - slightly quicker but still blo*dy annoying.

I believe it. I was also a 2.0 upgrade and in the e-mail it said if you wanted to upgrade to 2.16 you HAD TO notify apply by the 18th, which it is for the user who's order has shipped. I expecta LOT of MBP's will be shipped ont eh 18th

Too mad its the 18th over there and we californinas have 14 hours too wait for ours to be shipped :X
 
All the shipping reports so far look like stock configurations. Has anyone who did CTO had a shipping confirmation yet? I wouldn't be suprised if those took longer... Grrr...
 
They're finally shipping, great. Now to officially order mine through work, (when they allow me too), get my vouchers to buy it and wait its arrival. I predict maybe another two weeks for me minimum, but you never know.

What will be funny is that the people who ordered theirs, then cancelled when they thought the new 2.16GHz would arrive first, will now have to wait longer than they would have done originally. We'll see.

Not funny, I did that. Called Apple up when it first hit the internet and the rep told me 1-3 days until shipping.
 
Debit Card Charged

My debit card was charged this morning (Feb 17) for the full amount. I have not gotten an email about it shipping, and the website says it will still ship on the 28th. I live near Seattle, so it isn't the 18th yet, and mine is a BTO 2GHz with the 7200rpm hd, ordered on Jan 10th at about 7PM.

Heh, bloody is not a curse word in the us...this struck me a very funny.

It might have been closer to that if you'd just modified the original order. As it is, you have just placed yourself to the back of the queue potentially.

I hope you don't have to wait long and also hope those factories are in full swing knocking out both models and the CTOs. If not, there are a lot of people that could be waiting a long time to see some MacBook action.

For those that have shipping confirmation, what was the last estimated shipping date they had before receiving the confirmation?

Go visit the When exactly is the MacBook Pro shipping thread in Buying Tips forum and you'll see numerous people with tracking numbers and charged cards......

They're coming!
 
sweetness... just checked my order and it says you cannot cancel it online! woohoo, means at the least, my macbook is being built and getting ready to be shipped! btw, i'm a CTO which changed ram and upgraded hard drive.

good news for all us CTOs! looks like they'll start shipping tomorrow!

Just got off the phone with MacMall and the sales rep said that they were getting two shipments of the 2.0Ghz configuration from Apple - one on the 21st the other on the 22nd totaling 10,XXX. And in speaking with them he said they are only 95 units short of fulfilling all current orders orders.
