yeah if medicine or med devices were on that plane - real first world issues.Yet more 1st world problems.

Nice delivery...They have their UPS and downs, just like any other company. They'll fix it.
Prime Logistics.I can’t believe people are actually taking sides in the shipping wars between UPS and FEDEX.
Sorry. It’s not Apples or UPS problem. You didn’t create your startup properly. And you should have at least known we have a chip shortage going on, supply chain issues, boats waiting to dock for days and more. Everything now is slow, I am on a waiting list to even get a window replaced in my house as there is a shortage of those into MAY now.No, I'm using a low spec computer to do my work while I wait for this to arrive. I quit my job to build a startup and had to give back my old computer last week so I have two options. Expect this MBP to turn up before I have to return the temporary mac mini to apple within the 2 week window or buy another computer because apple can't fulfil their delivery dates.
Quite amazing you can't imagine any scenario where people need these to arrive in a timely manner.
Agree with the second half of this.Sorry. It’s not Apples or UPS problem. You didn’t create your startup properly. And you should have at least known we have a chip shortage going on, supply chain issues, boats waiting to dock for days and more. Everything now is slow, I am on a waiting list to even get a window replaced in my house as there is a shortage of those into MAY now.
Yes there is a chip shortage and there are many news articles and CEOs providing proof that it’s real.Agree with the second half of this.
But the chip shortage stuff... go to Costco and buy a computer. Mac, okay. PC/Win? okay (just got my wife a Dell XPS 13).
Or - if we knew each other - I'd lend one. I've done it for my friends/colleagues.
That aside - UPS screwed up, as usual. FedEx screws up too.
Us - the consumer - gets screwed.
Apple gets refunds.
Well user experience varies. This year has been issues for UPS with China and others as well. But in most years I find UPS best for central Illinois. FedEx second best and DHL poor third. But we do not have local DHL and I have in past several years had more issues with DHL than these first two. They have to come from west Chicago suburbs and finding and delivering to me has been a mixed experience although better somewhat more recently even though those sending me packages seldom use it (more the fossils I get internationally as I collector from Europe and Morocco)And yet, FedEx was able to deliver my XDR Display a three days earlier than Apple estimated and even a day earlier that FedEx themselves estimated.
FedEx, DHL and TNT are simply better run companies.
Tee hehe. Buuuurn.Unfortunately you're not lucky for living in that city.
My fedex MacBook Pro arriving today. Already on a truck for delivery. 1 week before promised delivery time.It could be worse.. They could have used FedEx.
Maybe it is time for Apple to have their own fleet of cargo airplanes, just like Amazon.
Mine is too. Been in touch with Apple and they say 4th nov delivery now……am a bit pissedThat explains why my shipment has been sitting in Shanghai for 2.5 days with it only saying “We are updating plans for your delivery” and other weird and vague tracking status notes such as “the package will be sent to your destination city.”
Surprised by UPS’s lack of contingency plans
As I noted in the other (Watch7) thread, China issue. It’s not just a UPS issue. My MBP was picked up by DHL on the 23rd and has been sitting in Shanghai with no tracking updates since then.
Probably an issue on the ground.
So, counterpoint. I bought a maxed out 14” as soon as I could. Apple estimated delivery Nov 3-5. Updated to Nov 2. FedEx is now telling me Oct 29. We’ll see if that holds up. I can see it’s really close now and wouldn’t be surprised if it comes Oct 28.
edit: I don’t know why it’s coming fedex and not UPS. I didn’t select anything.
Could be worse, stuck on a ship off of LAUPS / Fedex / USPS : the race to the bottom is at full speed. All three have flushed customer service and operational efficiency down the toilet a long time ago.
Auspost are a joke.I bought a charger cable at the same time. Being shipped within my country. It’s taken a week to move between states and it’s still not arrived. I’ll take any other company to ship my MB Pro!View attachment 1880882
