Do Not Worry

The problem is that while we worry, and we understand their will eventually be an update. The lack of information is really lame.

Steve is correct - they will announce something when they are good and ready - there are far more important things in the world which are of greater importance. It is not the end of the world just yet...

If one is a techie - then there is always the risk of buying something then finding that next week there is a new model available.

Wait until June as by then I am sure there will be manner of things available from Apple, MacPro, MacBook Pro, and a MacMini with an hdmi out....

Patience is a virtue..., while fools rush in.

oh steve!

His email replies kill me.

I imagine him getting all these super long emails from lawyers/VPs/Marketing Director/Ive and he just responds with "yes" "no" "maybe" "I'll take care of it" "No big deal". So great.

Personally the response is really heartning. Its a lot more reassuring when a head of a company just says "Not to worry" in response to a major concern instead of some big long boilerplate about how theres no need to upgrade, one's in the works or whatever. It makes it sound like there is less BS. Especially someone like Jobs who you know takes it seriously. As much as a business Apple is, I would say they have been excelling A LOT longer than other companies who have ever been in their shoes.

And if its taking this long to update, I would be surprised if its the regular chip/graphics card.

Not to worry, guys! You heard it here first! :D Santa Steve got something nice up his sleeve!

Hey macrumors, how do you know that supplies to retailers are constrained? People have been reporting "lol my local bestbuy/futureworld/etc are out of MBP's, that means releases tomorrow!" for months.

I am afraid to say this but....

I am very sorry to say this but if the next Macbook Pro refresh isn't something truly amazing and mesmerizing (like an all in one lap top with a good graphics card) I am going to go to the darkside.

I am kind of tired of paying a premium for aesthetics and better battery life (well with the difference I could buy 3+ batteries for a decent lap top), I will certainly miss the design and the overall quality of hardware, but I simply can not live with mac's outdated graphics card.

Please let 10.6.3 be released tomorrow, and the MBP's simultaneously or shortly after!

If you can afford it, get a powerful PC desktop or laptop. That's what I did, best of both worlds.

I can see why some people would be annoyed. I'm sure the rumors have been going since about October! I'm just glad I'm not in the market for a new computer now.

We gotta love this massive refresh!

Even though I am not in need to buy any Mac at the moment, I want to see what Apple is coming out with this year!

Especially I want to see if finally they update the Mac Air properly.
Who knows I may get one :)

I like how people get mad about this stuff.

I had to wait like 6-8 months between when I decided I wanted to get a MBP and when I got it.

It is not the end of the world. You all will get over it, and so will your relatives.

It is the only time in 30 years where I had a computer and never felt like I needed or wanted to replace/upgrade it within 12 months. I have had it for close to three years now I believe. Although don't hold me to that.

Uhh.. How do we know this is legit? I can't find the post where the user states that he received said e-mail from Jobs.
