All the MBP's are shown as in stock and ship within 24 hours in the Canadian Apple store.
That is very unlikely also. Arrandale is a two-die solution, a 32nm IC with cpu/southbridge and a 45nm IC with gpu/memory controller. Removing the gpu would leave three options: a) leave the 45nm IC with only the memory controller, b) develop a separate memory controller just for Apple, c) somehow integrate the memory controller into the 32nm IC. All of these are pretty unlikely.
What Intel did for Apple with the MBA was to create a smaller version of an existing cpu, which they then made available to all their customers. Integrated graphics is a key feature of Intel's marketing strategy for Arrandale and I don't think they want to move away from that for Apple or anyone else. And besides, if Apple doesn't want to use the integrated gpu, they can just not use it and include a dedicated gpu. That's a lot easier than a custom chip.
Hi Everyone,
I have been following all the MacBook Pro updates forums for 6 months now and finally felt compelled to post. I went to the Apple Store tonight in Century City to take a look at the iPad and I asked the sales associate there if he can give me any hint if the MacBooks were going to be released tomorrow and he told me this...."Sir, I highly advise that you stay patient for a few more hours." He then winked at me and told me to come back tomorrow. The day has finally arrived!!!![]()

I don't see it on this list (scroll down) http://www.nvidia.co.uk/page/geforce_m_series.html
Perhaps a custom-made chip?
The 300M series is out now, I will seriously lol if apple don't include them - it's taken them so long just to get updated processors lol
according to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_200_Series
the GT216 is the codename for the retail version of the Geforce GT220 released on October 2009.
cheers!
Here's a list of NVidia's mobile GPUs that are part of the GT216 series, compiled from wikipedia
Compare those specs to the 9600:
Makes me sad![]()
