I'm almost tempted to take it to the local Mac retailer and see how much it would cost to get it fixed 100% back to normal. But it costs $75 just to look at it. And the cost to replace every part in the machine would be so not worth it.
West--Gallup.Mmmm...Chama Brewing Company! I lived there for 6 months...ate there a lot and I really miss Satellite Coffee! (Hey, this thread is off topic anyway right). What direction are you 140 miles out from?
West--Gallup.
And just throw off this off topic. Why isn't the i3 getting more attention? That seems like a pretty good chip to me.
The specs look reasonable given rumours that have been floating around this thread. BD has been reported before. 256/512MB VRAM counts matches what I've mentioned before about 1Gb (128MB)mdensity chips being the highest currently available for GDDR3 and Apple only having room for 4. Inclusion of the GT216 also isn't unexpected. It better be the 330M though. Argh. Even the 330M is slower than the HD5650.GT216 means GeForce GT 230M, 240M, 325M or 330M. Hmm.. dGPU?
apparently he's an apple certified macintosh technician. i guess that bodes well?
oh no... the guy is probably gonna loose his job now, after seeing his twitter account...
his Profession:"Bio Apple certified mac technician + iphone application developer" (according to his twitter)
someone said earlier that apple employees are not allowed to participate in forums, but at least i have a better feeling that this MBP update is just on the horizon. ***still holding my breath***
