Lawl, I'm just refreshing this page once in a while waiting for someone to flip out. That way I don't have to keep apple.com up. :D

While y'all are here, what does BTO/CTO stand for?

Wow. Where did you get ahold of this?? Any more info?

I'm almost tempted to take it to the local Mac retailer and see how much it would cost to get it fixed 100% back to normal. But it costs $75 just to look at it. And the cost to replace every part in the machine would be so not worth it.

I dunno if it is worth it, but I've heard really good things about a company near me here in KC. It's called Mission Repair and they were the ones that broke the news about the camera slot on the ipads a while back before the release if you remember that article. I haven't used them personally, but a couple of my friends have and they really liked it. I think they do a free diagnostic too, but I'm not sure.

Crazy if that picture is accurate, but i have been holding my breath for a long time! oh, and does the ODD/BD in that pic confirm the bluray drive?

Price increase loophole

What I really want to know is if I order my 13" Mbp right now online and the new one is released in the am will they send me the old one or upgrade it to the new model? If upgrade, do I have to pay the difference? I'm afraid there will be a price jump and I can't afford it.

Mmmm...Chama Brewing Company! I lived there for 6 months...ate there a lot and I really miss Satellite Coffee! (Hey, this thread is off topic anyway right). What direction are you 140 miles out from?
West--Gallup.

And just throw off this off topic. Why isn't the i3 getting more attention? That seems like a pretty good chip to me.

This dude who posted the image has a twitter...

http://twitter.com/johntcw

oh no... the guy is probably gonna loose his job now, after seeing his twitter account...

his Profession:"Bio Apple certified mac technician + iphone application developer" (according to his twitter)

someone said earlier that apple employees are not allowed to participate in forums, but at least i have a better feeling that this MBP update is just on the horizon. ***still holding my breath***

LOL, now the pic in the link is gone and the original post is, well, 'deleted'

Will also like to see the i3 on the white macbook and entry 13" MBP...

Ok, going to sleep and hope of waking up with the new MBPs...

GT216 means GeForce GT 230M, 240M, 325M or 330M. Hmm.. dGPU?
The specs look reasonable given rumours that have been floating around this thread. BD has been reported before. 256/512MB VRAM counts matches what I've mentioned before about 1Gb (128MB)mdensity chips being the highest currently available for GDDR3 and Apple only having room for 4. Inclusion of the GT216 also isn't unexpected. It better be the 330M though. Argh. Even the 330M is slower than the HD5650.

If he works for any other company than Apple, he's pretty much in the clear I think. The problem is that I'm also an Apple Technician, but I don't think anyone on my company has recieved any information at all about new MBPs. So I don't know how reliable that information is. I'm still waiting for some good news, like everyone else. :)

Maybe we should hide his username and stuff so he doesn't lose his job...I already took his name out of my reply. I dunno if that will help.

Yep.. has the right TDP though at 23W, sadly no DX11 and OpenGL 4.0 action though.
