Yes true, and in my case these express shipping stuff through Apple have been sometimes delivered through Fedex as well.

Yeah, my eggs on this been dispatched through US. Honestly, unless we see scans today, it'll be hard to get it to US from China by Tuesday. But fingers crossed.
Fingers are crossed. Still have full faith and hope. 🙏

16" Base Max

Ordered a few mins after Keynote.

Bank blocked Apple's authorization on Thursday, had to call them to allow it.

Nothing since, still in processing with 26th delivery.

I called Apple and they told me it was 'under review,' but rest assured I will have it on the 26th. Not holding my breath.

Likewise. I ordered minutes after the presentation ended. Had Visa security flag it and I had to call to get it put through. Card got charged and has been in preparing to ship since Thursday.

6k60 is equivalent bandwidth to 4k120 so it should be supported
It was a bit vague, and you may be right. I wish a table had been provided showing the capable resolutions and frequencies. For how I do my work it wouldn’t matter since all my final editing will be on the laptop display, but I’m sure others have quality external displays they want to use.

I spoke to an Apple supervisor the other day about another issue and happened to ask him if the stock MBPs are already in the USA or are still coming from China. He said that they are "probably" already in the US. If so, that may be why we haven't received tracking numbers yet. He said they are still assigning carriers and mentioned both UPS and Fed-Ex. Again, I don't know how accurate that info is but it was a supervisor I spoke to.

Woah nice! On your way to Anchorage, Alaska! So lucky.
@TheYayAreaLiving I was due a little good fortune after the delays I experienced with my phone ? But it all worked out for the better. I’ll get my phone soon. Besides, all of us with a 26 delivery date will likely be in Louisville at the same time during distribution. ?

I'm still in processing, with no charge yet. Sounds like you're ahead of me.

I used ApplePay the first time and I don't think they can charge the same 'card' again since its scrambled. I had to provide them my actual card #. Weird.

They definitely should clarify but it is complicated with the shoddy cables available and numerous standards. From quickly researching it the HDMI port does 4k60 maximum with the thunderbolt ports doing 4k120 or 4k144 with DSC.

I’ve looked on the other retailers sites like Best Buy, Amazon, etc and they all have shipments of most of the models going out on the 26th or shortly thereafter. I know they get certain allotments.

I bought an iPad mini recently and if I had bought it from the apple store I would have had it until late November but it got to me in 3 days from Best Buy.

I say all this to say, I think apple is obviously under promising so they can over deliver, they knew this day was coming way before now and had plenty of stock to go around. Those of you with 10/26 dates have ZERO to be concerned about, you were the first batch. I have a 11/10-11/17 date and I don’t think there is any way it’s going to take that long, esp with first week of nov orders already getting PFS notices.

Sucks to have to wait but it’s worth it, apple finally got it right!

Other than the green progress bar moving slightly, my order still shows Nov 10-17 with no movement. Ordered 16" Max, 64GB, 4TB seconds after Apple event, and it appears these higher configurations are not getting the same earlier delivery. On a side note, as I was configuring my order, selecting Max, 64GB (still launch day delivery), as soon as I selected 4TB storage, boom Nov 10-17. Doesn't anyone else need more storage? I fill up my current 2019 16" 2TB on too many occasions. Thought about the 8TB, but that extra $1,000, ouch!

I keep my laptop SSD pretty well managed and have a LAN-based 10TB Raid storage system to store most of my data. Synology DS220+. Very secure with remote access, and this way I can access my data from any device (phone, iPad, computer, etc). This method works for me, and I haven’t had any issues with having a 1TB HDD on my laptop for many years. But everyone’s situation is different. For how I work, I process about 600 photos a month, and the video amount varies.

I was just thinking about that. After not getting your iPhone on a launch date and then the Apple Watch too? I believe? You deserve this luxury. I’m rooting and cheering for you. It worked out better for you. You are not here wondering where your order is or where is the tracking number? So definitely you earned yourself this luxurious stress free trip. Hopefully to catch you Louisville, Kentucky on Monday 😇

Hope you enjoy your flight and happy tracking.

Yup both are mine are scanned as having departed a facility in Narita, Japan
If your shipment departed Japan at 9:48 PM local (as mine did), it is on this airplane:

EDIT: I should also add that if you're interested in what happens once your package comes into the UPS domestic system, these videos are great:

Good stuff! Very informative video. Thank you for sharing this.

I had this exact same thing happen to me and I ended up having to switch to an entirely different credit card from my debit card cause it just was so screwed up.
Would recommend calling Apple and switching it to something else if you can.

We're all meeting in Louisville at the plant for distribution? Better get my tent and sleeping bag ready

Base 14” Model with date Nov 3 - 10. Seeing some people going to PFS is making me slightly optimistic, but I won’t get my hopes up too high.
