What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

Same here. I am starting to loose hope of it showing up on 10/26. Mainly since it has to start moving by now in order to get to US by that time. Saturday would be the last day.

I was comparing my iPhone order and this one. iPhone says standard shipping and MBP says express shipping. iPhone pre order came from China. Wonder if this means MBP is stateside. Folks who got UPS scans, does it say standard shipping on your order pages?
Wondering the same thing.

My order says ‘standard shipping’ for delivery 10/26 and I’m still showing PTS on the Apple order status page. I started getting UPS scans yesterday morning and it currently shows departed UPS location in Shanghai.
I bet yours is already at one of the Apple hubs in the US and it goes out overnight Sunday/Monday.

I don’t think this is a matter of theoretically. I’m starting to strongly suspect that most of BTO models are the ones coming from China while the base models are already built and sitting in Louisville.

It theoretically already could be in the US.
Another theory, the standard configs are actually moving with standard shipping Macs on UPS planes but they haven’t been assigned individual tracking yet. So in a larger container. When they land in US, they will be sorted and assigned individual labels.

It may not even be UPS planes. UPS probably has a limited amount of capacity to handle these shipments out of China. It wouldn’t shock me if Apple chartered planes from other cargo carriers and then will hand off the packages to UPS once they land in the US. Apple has certainly chartered cargo capacity in the past. These planes could come into US air hubs in the lower 48 or make the handoff in Anchorage, where most cargo flights stop to refuel.

My 16" Pro Max 64GB scheduled for Nov 3-5 also went into preparing for shipment last night and my card got charged.

The big question is, will all of us in the same situation actually have an MBP in hand on release day? Not sure how long the product stays in PFS mode.
Same with my order. My 16” Pro Max 32GB 2TB SSD BTO. I got charged yesterday afternoon and my order status changed to Prepare to ship. And my order is still at November 3rd - 5th but hoping it comes earlier. I haven’t gotten any scans from UPS yet though like when the iPhone made its journey here. So who knows. ??‍♂️

That would be in line with a pre-launch rumor that Apple already had imported 10,000 or more of these units into the US. I’ve definitely had custom built Macs ship direct from China in the past even when I ordered well outside any initial launch.

I had a day of release base 14 that I canceled because I wanted to upgrade the processor and SSD. Now, I’m changing my mind again. The longer I wait, the more I think, the more I change my mind.

For those of us with an arrival/departure scan in Japan - looks like we just took off, en route to Alaska!

That’s why I put no thought into it at all ☝🏻

It was easy for me though… since this laptop is far more laptop than I’ll ever need, ordering the base configurations was a no brainier.

I’m coming from a 2013 13” rMBP (256 storage) and it’s still kicking…. Luckily, design-wise I don’t think the new 14 “thiccness” will be too shocking for me because I’m used to a laptop with actual ports/a beefier bottom. 😉

I feel your pain on changing your mind though… best of luck on getting the build you’re happy with. 😊

Any orders from Germany?

I ordered the silver 14” with 32GB Ram and it showed 7-10 days till shipping. I was quiet late since I changed my mind about my config.
apple says it will be delivered by 3rd - 6th November. Still would be happy if it is earlier :)
Yes!
I have 3rd-8th November… Base 14“ but with upgraded Charger… nothing so far besides a hold on the credit card…
But if I recall correctly the European orders all go together to a warehouse (Netherlands or Prague I think) and are distributed from there…

As long as these avoid the ports of California I am confident they will make it on time. 🤣

Typically it’s not too late to see a scan, even today, but at this point I’ll just have to put my faith in the good hard working folks at UPS.

I am beyond grateful these got released in late October vs November/December Christmas rush.
