What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

It’s absolutely an abuse, no matter how much the offenders protest.

Cars cost a hell of a lot more than MBPs. Try returning two extra cars.
I respect that. You can’t compare cars to a MacBook Pro. If you return your car the dealership will make money off of it. No matter what. They are hustling. Tomorrow morning it’ll be at the sales lot 10% higher than the asking price. Whatever you paid… it’ll be 10% higher than that. They will not take it as a loss. They will happily sell it and make money off of it.

Go to the Apple store and ask an Apple employee or a manager am I abusing the system if I return a product here. They are going to laugh at you and say no, no way! Where did you get that from? If you are not happy with it return it. We can initiate the return for you with no questions ask. They want you to be happy and loyal to the brand. Also, when you return a product sometimes Apple employee doesn’t even check if the item is in the box. They just honor it. That’s how good of a customer service Apple provides. Customer satisfaction comes first 100% no matter what.

I agree with you 100% space gray all the way! But few months from today I don’t want to see nicks and marks. I think silver hides them very well? What do you think? I watched the video and it turned me off. So I was like alright… silver it is 😂

You are going to have it in a sleeve whenever you take it around right? SG looks nicer for me so I would still go with that even with the risk of marks, silver will still be noticeable.

Same but the new M1 Pro or Pro max chip alone worth an upgrade, plus the battery life, promotion, all the port slots, bigger screen. Not worth getting a refurb over this 😆
I meant waiting for a refurb of the M1 Pro, which usually comes four months or so after introduction.

Uh you also forgot to mention the polishing cloth that they no longer give to you with your purchase but force you to shell out $19 BIG ONES on!

(😂)
Oh yeah! That thing cost $2 at Walmart Apple is asking $19 without the tax. Go figure 😂

Thank you for making it a little easier for me. Yes inside the sleeve. So I might just keep it. Space gray does look sleek and pretty bad A. The color always shines through. Now I need to decide what color I want to keep. 🙃

We’re in weird times right now, but the above was never true pre-2021 and probably still isn’t true now.

Also, cars have far more features than MBPs, from seat style to interior and exterior colors to sound and tech options.

“Returning a product” and “returning three extra I bought so I could use my home as a showroom” are two very different things.

Apple store staffers are going to be nice because Apple requires them to be nice and because Apple stores are mostly staffed by millennial types who dislike confrontation. But behind your back, rest assured they consider it abuse.

If you’re willing to go to a store for returns, you should just go there initially to view product models and make your selection.

I do not think a single instance would be considered abuse, maybe if you went through multiple orders and multiple returns.

You wanna know where people abuse the return system. Costco! I used to work at Costco as a returns clerk and boy the stuff people would bring to return… I’m talking 5 year old mattress, 2 year old rice cooker, 2 year old TV. Someone return 6 month old jeans and he left his boxers inside the jeans. It was gross. He didnt even bother keeping his personal boxers. Now that’s an abuse but I still initiated the return and return the $$ because of member satisfaction.

We were told to return any product without any questions being asked to the customer. The money was coming right back because people would go shop and spend more $$

Same thing applies at Apple. This is why these companies are very successful.

Anyone who’s run a business knows many customers are not worth having.

But again, it’s not Costco that pays for that. It’s the honest Costco customers. Same with Apple.

Hi, anyone got an "origin scan" showing up on UPS My Choice or found something on UPS tracking via reference number if you order around 11:04 am Cupertino time? I ordered a 16''/M1 Max/32GB/1TB and the order confirmation is 11:04 am but didn't see any movements.
Nope, unfortunately we are all waiting :(

There are multiple factors at work here too. Since the supply is so limited and tight (hence orders stretching into December already!) ordering two and then returning one isn’t that outlandish, especially considering honestly no one has physically seen or held these so if you were on the fence between sizes I could see buying both seeing which “feels” better and returning the other.

I am sorry, this sausage did not meet my taste needs.

Also, what if you return the product sealed without opening the box? Is that still consider a loss for a company. NOPE! It goes back to the inventory and they sell it to the next customer. Same thing department stores are doing.

Returning unopened is another story. You can’t compare the silver and the space gray at home without opening the boxes.

That is why I’m gonna go to the store and check out the colors and I just compared the colors at home right now. The pic is posted above 😂

Personally, I would buy both to guarantee delivery but return one unopened if indecisive. The less ****** for them and environmentally, but I am good about picking colours and specs so not a usual problem.
