The Dylan rumour says the price gap between 14" and 16" will be much more narrow than now between 13" and 16". Probably, the 16" will be cheaper because it is rumoured to have a similar M1X as the 14", whereas the current 16" adds a dGPU. Which would be good news indeed! Still curious about the weight because I find the current 16" with power brick to be much too heavy to lug around vs my older 13"+powerbrick.

@beach bum Are you planning on ordering the new 💻?
I don’t think so. 🥺 I’m living vicariously through you and @LFC2020.🤩🤣 I have a pretty good setup with a fully spec’s 2020 Mac Mini—Intel, as well as the base M1 MBA.

However, if they announce a new Mac Mini that can support 2-3 monitors, I will be highly interested and will trade in my current MM without a second thought.🤞

Sell that M1 MBA. So you can get yourself a M1X 14 or 16” model. Unless you like the MBA M1. You should definitely think about it. @LFC2020 is making the move 😂 we’re all going to be so poor by end of this year.

Wonder what Apple has to offer about Mac Mini.

Beast mode is ON!!! logging into the apple education store from now. 😎😁🕺😂
I’m so happy you are upgrading! Just made my day. Thinking about buying some milk and toilet paper 🧻 so I can ship it out to you. Anything helps right?

Sheesh woman! Now I’m scheming on how to make this work 🤣🤣 Ok, I‘ll be glued to my computer watching the event HOPING that they announce a new Mac Mini 🤩. If no MM is mentioned, I’ll still keep an open mind re: M1X 14” or 16”.

If you see a 6 o’clock news feature on Monday about this crazy woman on the east coast Philly area robbing a bank, it’s probably me🤣🤣

You had me at 16” will be cheaper 😁

Can you see apple offering 2 different specs for 14” when it comes to the GPU?

Like the MacBook Air, one has a 7 core GPU while the other has a 8 core GPU.

Ooooh, these look really tempting now that ProMotion is supposed to be happening. However, aside from multiple monitor support (and I probably could get by with only one external monitor), there's not that much of reason for me to upgrade 😢. My M1 MBA is powerful enough, and I'm still too much of a beginner developer to need a ton of GPU power--if web developers even need that much power? I'm guessing not unless lots of docker VMs are needed for the job.

Maybe as a graduation gift... and I don't even have a good external monitor, let alone a good desk setup, so that has to come first. A decent 34" ultrawide is going to cost me $500-700 or twice as much if I want 4k or 144hz. *sighs* The amount of technology I want is just insane right now 😔.

The MBA and 2-port MBP are so enticing down at $999 and the low-$1000s. The MBP needs a killer feature to entice regular average joe consumers to buy up to the $1800+ range, and that feature is ProMotion. Really hope that rumor is true.
