Canceled my preorder that was getting delivered in 4 weeks, it says canceled, should I still call apple to make sure it's canceled?

I would call UPS and do hold CC. Make sure it’s the main distribution hub and double check if you can pick it up tomorrow. It’s much easier.
I think you'll be fine. I had two orders initially (used the wrong payment method) and had to cancel my first one... it showed as cancelled and fell off a few days later.
Ugh, now I'm tempted to see if they will have an in stock one for store pick up at my local Apple store so that I can order the MBP with the FASTER charger. I overlooked it when I placed my order.

UPS my choice says it’s shipping from instate but UPS tracking says it just shipped from Kentucky. So confused right now.

They don’t even have to mention it and everyone still preorders it… and tomorrow all queues and shopping appointments will really just be to get hold of the cloth… the disappointed customers who won’t be able to snag a launch day cloth might at least be able to get one of those new MacBooks as consolidation…
It’s just good apple has those MacBooks launching along side the cloth really…

I'd be willing to bet your Origin Scan is Ontario, CA...that's where mine is, and I'm in Phoenix, not too far from you. Looks like west coast is coming from Ontario, and east coast coming from Carlisle. Mine took hours to update from "No information available" to finally showing the scan. It's still not in MyChoice, which is really weird.
